THE PERFECT FUSION OF EPS AND PU! Surftech's patent pending Fusion Dual-Core Technology is the perfect blend of EPS and PU foams engineered to give you the ideal feel while increasing the performance. The float and response comes from the EPS in the middle of the board while the PU in the rails gives you the feel and drive in and out of turns. These two foams are brought together with a TPU (on high-performance models), or EVA (on thicker alternative models), which acts like a shock absorber in your board. The dual foams are laminated together with an EVA "shock absorber" to maximize the fell of the Modern 2. When Filipe is training for the world tour you can find him ripping the Modern 2 because it works great in small to head high waves. The Dual-Core has engineered swing weight for quick snaps and easier rotations in the air.

The Modern 2 Fusion-E2 was designed to be a cross breed between the famous MR Twin of the 80’s and the high performance thrusters of today. Filipe wanted a board for training in small mushy conditions and he asked for something different than what he rides on the tour. The Disco Inferno Fusion Dual-Core is a performance shape in an All-New Dual-Core construction. It will handle better waves with the float and response of EPS combined with the feel of PU. With a similar bottom configuration and rocker as the Disco, the Disco Inferno has some minor changes to increase the drive and control in larger surf. The Disco Inferno is idealy sized shorter than your regular short board.

The Disco Cheater Fusion-E2 is a copy of the Disco model with all its features, the same rocker, foil and concaves. It was simply a recreation of the Disco’s outline, but with adding more area overall, making it more stable and easier to catch waves on those very small days. Takayama was famous for his progressive designs that combined both traditional and high performance aspects into every board made. Guns almost exclusively, culminating in consecutive wins at the prestigious Duke Kahanamoku contest in 1970 and 1971 by surfing legend Jeff Hackman. Today, the idea of owning one of these masterpiece Brewer guns is still considered a milestone for any serious surfer... And here’s your chance.

These wood veneer replicas of the original started as a hand shaped 9’6” “master” by Dick in his shaping bay located on Oahu, Hawaii. From there, the master was sent to the Surftech factory for meticulous duplication and manufacturing.
