When it comes to buying an adjustable bench for your home gym there are a few things you really need to consider before you take the plunge otherwise you could end up buying a bench that just sucks and you ate using. My goal is to give you the main buying point decisions you need to consider very quickly and help you pick out the best adjustable bench for your home gym so you are actually looking forward to your workouts with it.

Main Buying Points To Buy Your Adjustable Bench

Welcome To My Blog..Eric

How many positions do I need? This might seem insignificant but it really is important. If you plan on doing incline bench press with dumbbells then you will want to be able to adjust the bench at an angle that doesn’t hurt your shoulders and focuses on the muscle area you want to target. So, if I wanted to focus on my deltoids I would have the incline angle between 75 degrees to 90 degrees. If I wanted to focus on developing my upper pecs then I would get something in the 45-65 degree range. Then of course you want to be able to have it flat so you can do regular bench.

Do I Need a Decline Option? I wanted to ask you this question right away because based on your answer it will narrow your search down quickly. It’s really simple, do you want to do decline bench press with it so you can focus on your pecs. Do you want to use it for sit-ups or laying the opposite way on it, you can do leg lifts. Most of you will not care about this option at all so it will help you narrow your search down and save you a bit of money.

What is The Max Weight I will be lifting on it?
