Benjamin Obler
Benjamin Obler is the author of the novel Javascotia (2009, Penguin UK). He is a writing coach, and has worked in various editorial and production roles in educational publishing, exclusively on the subjects of Reading, English Language Arts, and Writing for over 20 years. He teaches writing with Gotham Writers Workshop. ⫧ In 2014 his story “The White Man’s Incredulity Furrows His Brow” was awarded first place in a fiction contest with the journal Puerto Del Sol, judged by Lydia Millet. It appears in the 50th Anniversary issue, Spring 2015 issue. His essays and fiction have appeared in The Guardian, London Times, The Mirror, Electric Literature, Long Reads, The Junction, Belle Ombre, Qwerty, Sundress, Thirty-Two, Cottonwood, and The Evansville Review. He lives in the mid-Hudson Valley, New York.
