BENJAMIN ROSS
PART II ARCHITECTURAL ASSISTANT About Me Since beginning my studies at the University of Portsmouth, I have developed a strong understanding & enjoyment of the design process. I have gained skills in graphical and architectural representation, both by hand and on computer. I also have a talent in physical modelling in a variety of media, using both traditional and computer aided methods. My part 1 placement at NOMA architects allowed me to develop these skills further, as well as gaining practical experience in terms of brief development, the planning process and detail design. A good working relationship with superiors granted me the opportunity to excel beyond my job title and undertake roles which really pushed my abilities.
‘Stadt Land Fluss’ 2015/TU Wien
I have recently completed an Erasmus placement at Technische Universität Wien, Austria as part of my MA Architectural studies. Working with such culturally diverse teams of people has shown me both the importance and difficulty of working within an international environment, and is something I am keen to develop in a professional environment.
