Figure 40 - Perspective of area under library Following up from at review that the area under the building could be a dark and unpleasant space, this scene shows how the area under the library could be a vibrant and exciting space. Drawing from historic precedence such as Loggia dei Mercanti and English towns such as Tetbury and Chipping Campden, the scheme resurrects an accustomed tradition of occupying the space under buildings with informal local markets.
