Nottingham Trent University
I am currently a 2nd year student studying BA Furniture and Product design at Nottingham Trent University. I am a very enthusiastic young designer. My drawing skills are a strong point in my designing as they are clear and crisp. At school I was able to learn MIG welding and have used this skill on several of m y recent projects. This is my portfolio showing a mix of 1st and 2nd year work along with some extra work from home and school. My school years were based around sculptural Art and Design as this suited my 3D thinking and problem solving. Projects included working with concrete, wood, tape and polystyrene.

8 Week Project

umbra
This project was to work in partnership with Umbra and John Lewis to design a new product costing between £20-£80 which would be produced and sold in March 2018. We used their simple and clean designs to influence our initial developments. By keeping the designs simple it would reduce cost on production. We set out to design a small side table with a hardwood top which had a sling under to store magazines, remotes and items which a person may find near their sofa area. The product Kanves is made from mild steel legs with a hard wood top, along with a canvas sling. H 460mm x W 360mm x

7 Week Project
This project was based on the Brand Isokon - Design and manufacture the portable free-standing storage form - as typified by the Penguin Donkey suitable for current lifestyles. This donkey was designed for maximum portablilty and ease. The symetrical design keeps the Donkey well balanced so only one hand is needed to carry it. This allows the user to have a spare free hand for opening doors or holding a drink or other storable items

Rebar table was designed to be used both inside and out. The materials used - Steel and Palet wood -would be able to withstand UK summer elements. The bottom of the legs have the point from the rebar to allow someone to push the table into the grass to fix it into place. The table would be prefect for outdoor BBQ parities or gatherings.

Week Project
Product brief - To design a campaign to increase the average amount of fruit and vegetables being eaten regularly by 16-35 year olds but, also include exercise into the daily life of this target group.
Research Project
Lemon
The campaign was aimed at encouraging kids to exercise for one minute. Squats, running on the spot, jumping up and down were rewarded with fruit and veg.
Lemon
By making the campaign interactive they could share the video on social media which would be recorded while they exercise. The video would then be sent to another school or event which could inspire others to exercise and eat on of their 5 a day as a reward. Logo designs
