A dedicated team of experienced Inventory Clerks

Unlike many other letting agents, Beresfords do not outsource the preparation of Inventories. All our Inventory Clerks are employed by us and trained to APIP (Association of Professional Inventory Providers). They carry out a range of duties designed to look after a rented property before tenants move in, during their occupation and after they move out. These are summarised below:

Conduct a comprehensive inspection of a property prior to tenants moving in. Prepare a detailed Inventory (Condition) report before a tenancy commences. Conduct regular internal inspections throughout a ‘managed’ tenancy. Report any maintenance issues to our Property Management team. Initiate a ‘Check Out’ inspection at the end of a ‘managed’ tenancy. Deal with any post tenancy disputes between landlord and tenants which relate to the condition of the property and the Dilapidation Deposit initially paid by the tenants upon commencement of their tenancy.

Having one person dealing with all these processes throughout ensures complete consistency!
