CERTIFICATION Protective Equipment including that for motorcyclists. The law stipulated that any product claiming to offer protection must be genuinely protective and hold certification to that effect. This certification is earned through successful completion of various tests (such as chemical, ergonomic, mechanical, etc) carried out by an approved European body. To enable easy recognition of a product that meets these demands, we have given it the following logo:

"The legendary reliability of Bering equipment is no myth. It’s also not due to luck. It is based on getting the specifications right, ahead of the design of every product. AC3 Performance combines our policies on product safety and quality. Our desire is to provide everyone with a clear and comprehensible “translator” of all the technical aspects included in our products, giving a performance index. All motorcyclists are constantly exposed to real dangers. The absence of a “cabin” makes it essential to protect riders as far as possible from the “threats” they face: wind, cold, rain… and sometimes impact.

We have combined these in our AC3 formula: ACCC."

5 AQUA

Water comes in many forms: rain, snow, hail, mist and fog. Whatever its appearance, it can cause discomfort that increases with speed. But it is not enough to provide protection that simply puts up a barrier to prevent water getting in. It must also allow water to be expelled from inside. Managing these two phenomena – stopping water penetration and regulating its escape – requires the development and use of fabrics with suitable properties and manufacturing techniques (coating, heat-welding, gutter stitching, etc).

5 COLD

Cold. Amplified by the seasons, it also varies according to the climate where you happen to be and its effects depend on the speed at which you ride. A lowering of your body temperature can directly affect your safety by impeding your riding: numbness (in your hands, feet, etc), loss of sensitivity, pain/burning, general hypothermia.

Falls and collisions... Motorcyclists are at their most vulnerable in an accident.

Protection becomes paramount, although we know that 100% effectiveness is never possible. Nonetheless, Bering is constantly conducting research into how to lower the level of physical injury. KING AND QUEEN SIZE A standard product will suit an “average” size. But for those outside this average, it can be hard to find a jacket or trousers that perfectly fit their figure. Faced with increasing demand from more generously proportioned customers, Bering has introduced specially-designed products. Rather than opt for the inadequate and unsatisfactory solution of simply increasing the pattern size for an existing jacket or trousers, Bering has created the King and Queen Size ranges. The jacket has specifically designed measurements for the biceps, chest, forearm and waist. The same applies to the trousers, where the thigh, calf and waist measurements have been specially developed.
