2D-3D design projects The Forum Architectum is an assignment to create a transparent gathering spot for the campus. It aims to welcome people while defining a space for meetings using a light-weight and repetitive structural units.
The bicycle shed proposed for METU campus is an assignment to build a structure based on modular folded plates. It aims to protect bicycles from the sun while maintaining cost-efficiency, durability and feasibility at the focus. Modular units act as a tool to create an aesthetic and parametric outcome.

Amasya is a city in North Anatolia whose history dates back as far as the Hittites, Greeks, and Romans. The theme of the project is market. Therefore, using the historical and existing urban context as a means of connection, participation, and re-use was a primary objective. The necessity of an urban passage was used to create spaces for small-scale markets as well as a visual scenic journey to the elements of opulent history.

Proposals for a village: Mahkemeağcın Mahkemeağcın is a village in the north of Ankara. Despite its natural and historical gems, it endured a population loss due to its proximity to a big city. The project aims to introduce new activities for trekkers, including a bus stop, accommodation, and a weekend house. Among the most basic construction methods, timber with timber frames along with reinforced concrete is at the core of the experiments.
The bus station is a structural and environmental exercise that utilizes a triangular wooden truss system to enhance stability and louvers against excessive sunlight exposure from risky directions.
8
The main reference for the weekend house is the historical Anatolian gardens where water elements and efficient use of territory for agricultural production and greenery are crucial design constraints. The interior spaces were left minimal to obtain more porticoes and a garden.

Landscape design in Ayrancı The project is located in the Ayrancı district of Ankara which is densely populated. The aim is to create a landscape that will contribute to public collectivity and security. The land-art-influenced path forms a spatial connection from a higher street to the lower one, creating nodes for different purposes. One level is made of a hard surface which is used as an urban theatre while the other makes use of a soft grass surface for leisure.
10
Deciduous bitch trees are selected on purpose to shield the site from excessive heat in summer and cold winds in winter.
11
Parametric structural design The project is made as a structural design project, aiming to connect the old and new buildings of the METU Faculty of Architecture. It creates a passageway while creating micro-collective spaces. Parameters were used to achieve a site-specific form. The structure is called the ‘dragon-skin’.
12
Dragon skin structure is made of slitted plywood panels. The units are used to make each unit a structural member. All together, they act as a vault. Moreover, the voids they create between the units orient themselves southwards to gain more sunlight while protecting the interior from wind and rain to a considerable extent.

METU House in Moda, Istanbul
Moda district lies on the Asian side of Istanbul. Throughout its long history, it has been a multi-cultural zone with its characteristics open to the world. The aim was to design a site that would introduce the spirit of teaching and university to an urban context with its unique features.
14
The design idea is to connect a social spine alongside the coastline with a more residential area where a quieter neighborhood with its services co-exists. The lower floors therefore respond to the need for shopping, exhibitional, educational, and congregational spaces to welcome the citizens with more private accomodations on the floors above. Analysis and Solutions for Lambro River, Milan
In this study of urban space in Milan, the aim is to identify architectural and urban problems related to the infrastructure. To do that, mobility, vegetation, urban pattern, water, and vacancy distributions were analyzed. Eventually, a strategy based on permeability and accessibility was developed to alleviate the problems.
