The Berkeley Hall Charitable Foundation was recently featured in top industry publication Club + Resort Business! Shown here, the BHCF awarded a $50,000 grant to Bluffton Self Help for acquisition of computer software for their new Path Forward case management initiative. The project was developed following a community needs assessment by BSH in partnership with the Riley Center for Livable Communities which indicated 6 out of 10 families in greater Bluffton are economically at risk. When it comes to making a difference, the BHCF has a tremendous impact in our greater Bluffton community, thanks to the incredible generosity of our Membership.

Elijah Paulsen Appointed Food & Beverage Manager

Elijah Paulsen has been named Food & Beverage Manager. With a wealth of experience in the culinary arts and a passion for exceptional service, Elijah comes onboard as we expand our range of club and member amenities in our newly renovated Palmetto Room and Verandah. Most recently, Elijah served as Manager at the historic Sellwood eatery Gino's Restaurant & Bar in Portland, OR. Known for its wine cellar, amassed over 24 years, this iconic establishment pairs turn-of-the-century architecture with contemporary cuisine. There, Elijah implemented effective strategies and created upscale guest experiences. Prior to that, he served as Assistant Winemaker for Holloran Vineyards & Wines in Dundee, OR. With his science background and affinity for learning, it was there he honed his love for winemaking over five harvests. With an associate of science degree in Biology from Portland State University in OR, Elijah applies scientific curiosity to wine and its wide-ranging tastes and notes, an interesting blend of knowledge he’s happy to share when it comes to fine wines on the BHC wine list. Please join us in welcoming Elijah to Berkeley Hall Club.
