Where to find Asian & Latin

While living in Berlin, many students and employees who live here start to miss their home country food, and you couldn’t get these things in regular supermarkets like Lidl, Rewe, Edeka or Aldi.

Also, if you do not come from Latin America or Asian countries, you may want to make your own sushi or noodles and it can save you some money.

One Minute from S-Bahn

If you need to buy seafood for lunch or dinner near S-Bahn, you may want to visit Asia Mekong which is located only one minute from S-Bahn Hackescher Markt. It is only 4 stops from S-Bahn Tiergarten.

You can also find fried tofu if you want to be a little more vegetarian. It is packed in the refrigerator together with some other fresh vegetables. Tofu contains higher protein and can be consumed by putting it in the air fryer for around 4 minutes.

This shop is localized close to the Checkpoint Charlie. Inside there, there are a restaurant and the biggest Latin American and Portuguese’s market in Berlin, you can find many kinds of coffee, wine, Beans, tapioca, seafood and some objects from these countries, also different types of spices. Other than that one can also find some Spanish products. Extremely nice staff.

Viet Lunch and Shop at Dong Xuan

A big place that sells many things other than food. This shop becomes a must-visit place in Berlin from some website. You can find many things from clothes, bags, and toys. However, you need to be a little bit careful while choosing things because of its quality. When you feel hungry, there are also some restaurants in this area, mostly Vietnamese. If you a coffee addict, don’t miss the Vietnam coffee, it is really tasty.

Chorinho once a moth

It is a Portuguese library right in the center of Berlin, there you can find a small grocery shop with some options for Brazilian and Portuguese products selection at a good price. The staff is friendly, speaks also Portuguese, and can help you if needed. Once a month, there is Chorinho (sort of Brazilian instrumental music) in their basement. And of course, you can also find a variety of Portuguese written books in the library.
