Experience: Graduate of the University of Stuttgart, Germany. Martin has a passion for getting top-notch user-centered design into production and on to store shelves. He brings with him over 20 years of product development experience, most recently at Radius Product Development, where he was responsible for the capabilities, productivity, and growth of the Chicago engineering team. Prior to Radius, Martin was Director of Mechanical Engineering at Herbst LaZar Bell (HLB). In these roles, he provided consultation to a variety of global consumer goods firms and brands including SC Johnson, Kimberly Clark, Clorox, Proctor & Gamble, Wrigley and Kraft, as well as a broad range of firms in the medical and industrial sectors. Engineers components to ensure superior manufacturing, filling, and usability. Experience: Began his career as a journeyman injection mold maker. Upon completion of his apprenticeship, Brett honed his design and development skills working with a range of clients in the medical, personal care, household, and beverage markets. A named inventor on numerous utility and design patents, he has designed and developed closures and packaging components for clients such as Gillette, Wyeth Pharmaceuticals, Procter & Gamble, Coca-Cola, Alcoa Closures International, and ConAgra Foods.

Experience: Senior Industrial Designer at RedFusion Studios (4 years), Industrial Designer at IMI Cornelius (4 years). BFA in Industrial Design at the University of Kansas. Worked in both corporate and consulting environments on projects ranging from commercial food equipment to consumer electronics to interface design for software. LIAM HAWRY DIRECTOR OF INDUSTRIAL DESIGN – PACKAGING Years of Relevant Experience: 12 years Joined Berlin: 2005 Role: Designs packaging and leads structural design projects and teams. Experience: BFA in Industrial Design from Syracuse University. Working for several Chicago area design consultancies, he helped launch iconic products such as the TUL line of writing utensils for Office Max and Blu-Ray Disc packaging for Sony. He has worked in many fast-moving consumer goods categories including supporting brands such as Downy, Softsoap, and Armor All. He also brought several of his own ‘green’ housewares to market through his company Normal Design. KIERON TSE DIRECTOR OF INDUSTRIAL DESIGN – PRODUCT Years of Relevant Experience: 15 years Joined Berlin: 2014 Role: Manages and designs for industrial design projects. Experience: BA in Industrial Design from Purdue University. The majority of his professional experience is with fast-paced product design consultancies. Some of his successful products out in the market include Shure headphones, Cottonelle Fresh Care Dispenser, Waterpik showheads, and various medical devices. JONATHAN EZIQUIEL-SHRIRO SENIOR INDUSTRIAL DESIGNER Years of Relevant Experience: 10 years Joined Berlin: 2015 Role: Manages and designs for structural and industrial design projects. Experience: BA in Economics from the University of Rochester and MFA in Industrial Design from Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT).
