COMMENTS: IKRA, n’a pas besoin de longs discours de présentation! C’est juste un bateau iconique, présent sur la Coupe de l’America en 1964 à Newport RI sous le nom de KURREWA V puis racheté par le Baron Bich pour sa première campagne sur la Coupe en 1970 mais aussi à l’origine d’un défi qui donnera naissance à la célèbre Nioulargue puis Les Voiles de St Tropez. Outre ses performances en régate, IKRA, grace à des aménagements amovibles, un plan de voilure spécialement étudié et des équipements adaptés, se transforme en bateau familial de croisière avec 6 couchages.
En 2007, un refit complet a été réalisé au chantier Tréhard (aujourd’hui Monaco Marine) à Antibes supervisé par les architectes navals Jacques et Nicolas Fauroux. Ces travaux ont redonné ses lettres de noblesse à IKRA qui jouit depuis d’une maintenance de qualité et de soins attentionnés lui permettant de toujours figurer aux avant postes des compétitions auxquelles il participe. Le prochain championnat du Monde 2024 de Porquerolles, l’America’s Cup 12m JI à Barcelone en septembre, les Régates Royales de Cannes et Les Voiles de Saint Tropez seront les évènements phares de cette fabuleuse année taillée pour IKRA. Le bateau dispose de sa place de port à l’année à Hyères. IKRA fait partie du Patrimoine Maritime.
