Dr. Bernard Mulholland

My own background is as a historian and archaeologist with a Ph.D. from Queen’s University in Belfast. My thesis was published as a monograph: The Early Byzantine Christian Church. An archaeological re-assessment of forty-seven Early Byzantine basilical church excavations primarily in Israel and Jordan, and their historical and liturgical context (Oxford, 2014). I have been a member of the New York Academy of Sciences for over twenty years, and I am a member of the Society for the Promotion of Byzantine Studies, and the prestigious International Association of Patristic Studies.
