CENTRAL TO EVELEIGH CITY OF SYDNEY, 2016
“The central to eveleigh program is about great city thinking that connecs diverse and vibrant communities” (Urban Growth NSW 2016). Having a rail corridor site with such rich historical background, controversial aspects and multidimensional developments, there are
many
possibilities
and
potential
to
revitalise
the
current
neighbourhood in which distinctive characteristics are gathered and digested to create the strong relationship between existing network and proposed urban nodes. “ Tw i s t

is
to
design
an
informative
digesting
precinct
which brings all stamina and energy from other sites into this area
creating
a
dynamic
live-and-work
precinct
for
public.
Gaining all the congestion from Sydney CBD, the commercial and cultural corridors along site are strengthened comprehensively that involves numerous design actions by generating a walkable community to integrating various pedestrianising aspects. Hoping to restructure urban hierachy in order to introduce interlocking North-South and East-West connections.

The project is based around the proposed new Sheffield Motorway Services at Junction 34 of the M1. The proposals have been highly controversial and have been opposed, amongst others. The overall aim as the landscape architect is to develop a scheme that will be seen as a national or international demonstration project for integrating nature, habitats, and ecosystem services into build development. STUDIO WORK
B L A C K WAT T L E B AY CITY OF SYDNEY, 2015
This project involves the design and documentation of detailed spaces as part of an overall site design. The project involves the space at the southern end of Foreshore Park where the shared path and the intersection of Rider Boulevard and Oulton Avenue meet. The first portion of the studio culminates in an individual concept design for the site, which considers the project brief, and any issues identified through a detailed site analysis and research process. The second part of the semester entails documenting own designs. My design concept is based on the dragging in people from various directions like the movement of capillary action. Integrating various function and aesthetics to site for surrounding residents, it hopes to connect multicultural groups while blurring the harsh edges between recreational and residential spaces.

The assignment hopes to resolve the grading and leveling issue for the proposed residential site. Having to achieve standards and at the same time meet requirements of servicing (drainage) and sufficient greenspace for individual properties, students have a choice to relocate u n i t s o r wo r k w i t h t h e o r i g i n a l h o u s e p l a c i n g s .w h i l e engineering accurate plans and construction details. For the assignment, I chose to reallocate units for a more challenging outcome. Mindful of Australian standards and visual elements, large amounts of research and readings were done in order to introduce the best solution.

and hobbies. Having the great opportunity to travel overseas for student ex c h a n g e h a s b ro a d e n m y v i s i o n i n s p i rat i o n a l ly. T h e r e fo r e wherever I walk past or anything that I encounter during the trip, I take photos of it to capture my frame of mind. previous journeys always refresh and enlighten me while revisiting the amazing cities in the mind palace. Model making is one of the few things that allows me to fully concentrate. Throughout the building process, it involves lots of problem solve thinking such as ways for adhesion and of course shortcuts to bring the model to a finale. Although the process may be tough, it is always mesmerizing to appreciate the final product.
