In a world so harsh and rough, a simple act of kindness could be the difference we make in someone’s life. And having that end in mind, classes 5D and 6C synergized to reach out to some underprivileged children through some donations, and had a visit to the Home of Hope at Kahhale.

Ter m 1 out ing A small gesture of empathy by our high schoolers created ripples of joy for 8 children with Down syndrome and mental challenges, who joined the Secondary Department’s Field trip to shouf last Friday. Those children from “BLESSED” fostered the warm feeling of inclusion in our learners’ hearts, which hopefully will become an established part of BESGB culture!

Sec ond ary Poe try Day The Secondary English department students performed a costumed rendition of their favorite children’s poetry and brought them to life infront of the Lower and Upper Elementary students. Secondary students took it upon themselves to prepare their novice masterpieces with great creativity, responsibility, and collaboration. Bringing together all departments, they drew smiles on every child’s face and laughter echoed through the hallways of BESGB. This event is expected to become a timeless tradition, repeated every year with the aim to unify the school community under the celebration of the English Language and its many creative outlets.

Grade 12 English play Grade 12 blew our minds again with talents that literally exploded on stage as they portrayed the typical families ups and downs, bickering, quarrels, idiosyncrasies, and of course, genuine caring and giving. The audience unanimously felt they were watching bits and pieces of their own family gatherings and were laughing throughout the entire show. Superb job!!!! Big thank you, Ms. Amal Ibrahim.

Bank Audi Interschool Competition In an unprecedented and noble initiative, Bank Audi held its first “Spring Interschool Competition”, among 12 schools in the Metn region. The competition’s preliminary stage took place among 650 Secondary III students competing against one another in their own respective schools, after which, 3 students from each school were shortlisted to participate in the major competition held Saturday, March 2nd, at the Bank Audi Downtown Headquarters. The students went through a very grueling and detailed process of testing their knowledge in Math, Literature, Economics, History, Banking, General knowledge, Environment, and Technology, and our 3 participating students managed to land Second place amidst a truly cut throat competition. Our shining stars are: Ralph Raheb, Maria Oneissi, and Andrea Gemayel. Super proud of this wonderful result.
