Employer Check In & Funding
Our Early Engagement & Funding Team will reach out to the listed employer contact within the application form to run through the programme suitability and obtain some key details such as funding route
An Employer Form is sent to the listed employer contact to be completed
Funding needs to be secured on The Apprenticeship Service
Once funding is secured your application is passed to the enrolment team
Set up on BUD – our e-portfolio platform
Your enrolment coordinator will transfer your details to Bud
You are invited to register on BUD and complete details
You will receive a separate invite to complete BKSB Initial Assessments for English & maths This is a requirement for all applicants regardless of their current qualifications, to ensure that they have applied for the most suitable programme
Filling out your details on BUD & BKSB
BUD registration & BKSB Initial Assessments should be completed within 2 working days.
Booking an enrolment meeting (Held on Microsoft Teams)
Once BUD & BKSB are complete your enrolment coordinator will send through a link to a booking portal showing their availability for a 30 minute timeslot
You will need to select a timeslot to book your enrolment meeting
Please ensure your manager is aware and has agreed to release you from your duties for the meeting
The enrolment meeting will take place on Microsoft Teams, you are required to bring your Passport and have your camera turned on for an ID verification check
Completing the enrolment meeting
The coordinator will go over the registered details on BUD to make sure they are correct, provide an overview of the programme and discuss any previous experience & qualifications
You will have an opportunity during this meeting to ask any questions about the programme After the call the coordinator will send a programme summary email to you and your employer to highlight key points discussed and confirm contracts have been issued
Once all information is accurate on BUD and we have obtained any certificate copies required, the apprenticeship contracts will be sent to you and your employer to sign
Signing contracts
You and your employer will receive an email containing a link to Bud to sign your contracts
These need to be signed within 24 hours of receipt to complete the sign-up process
• Once all documents are signed a link to the FDOL session will be sent out to your registered email address
• The First Day of Learning is the official start date for the programme – You must attend in order to start your apprenticeship
• When joining the session you are required to keep your camera on, and type your first and last name into the chat function to confirm attendance
If attendance is not confirmed you will be classed as a ‘no show’ and will need to re-attend
