As we move into the New Year, it is a natural time to take a look back on the past year and even ahead to the new one.

It is a perfect opportunity to write down a few resolutions. I know I have! Sometimes the biggest question becomes how far do we get into the new year before those resolutions slip away.

One quality worth grabbing ahold of and not letting slip away is Hope. It may seem that disappointment, discord and disagreement is all around us. Even though circumstances are difficult, those seasons come and go.

Please remember, situations do not lose Hope, people do! A Hope-filled future can begin with today. What more could we want for our families?

Spotlight On Men

My husband Manny is an amazing father.

While he was a single father for 10 years, he made sure that his four children were always with him.

He would pick them up from school, feed them and watch over them daily.

Manny would make sure to give his children all of life’s advice making sure they do the right things.

Manny then married me and accepted my five children. He also took the role of their father and today my girls say he is dad.

He gives his time and love to all of them unconditionally and never tells them no.

He is a father now of nine children and 12 grandchildren. Any man can be a father. But it takes someone special to be a dad. He is definitely a hero of A dad.

We are grateful that he is in our lives.
