Hello there! I’m Beste GĂśrkey. I’ve born in Alanya. I’ve graduated BahçeĹ&#x;ehir University department of industrial design. I’m a friendly, helpful, optimistic and a little bit childlike person. In my free times i like reading, watching movies, going musicals and spend time with my nieces and nephew. I like kids and to create them what they want and make them happy. I like travelling and meet different cultures. I think it expands our perspective and make us a different person. Except my touristic travels i went to Milan Design Week 2016 with friends, joined a workshop in IED and visited Continuum Design Office. Design is my hobby. It makes me happy at the end because we hold a whole new product in our hands. Seeing a finished work with my eyes makes me completed. I want to improve myself with new opportunities as a new graduated designer.
Experiences Tuna Mobilya (summer 2016) Designed a product that can be attached to an office desk and hold some stuff like files, pencils etc. Arçelik (summer 2016) Designed (with a group of interns) a smart home system called Aivod and present it to designers and design director in Arçelik. Derin (summer 2017) Had a chance to work with Aziz Sarıyer on a project for a company. Create the model and took it’s renders. Joined a meeting about this project. Done rendering and modelling works of interiors designed with Derin furnitures. Sparkgo (in university) It’s an interdisciplinary organisation in school. Fair Stand Design
Brief Design a 100 sqm fair stand to a brand (must be sport cloth brand or lingerie/swimsuit brand). Fair will be in Dubai world trade center. There must be a VİP room, info desk, catering and storage. The brand identity of the selected company must be clearly understandible. Construction must be fit rules inside WTC’s specification list.
Lacoste
Lacoste is one of the best sportive cloth brands in the world. It founded by Renee Lacoste -tennis player- in 1933. First they were only produced white tennis shirts. In time, they started to produce golf clothes, too. In 1955 they expanded their color range and beside tennis white they started to produce colorful products. Now they have a huge product scala that includes sport clothes, sport equipments(like racket, surf board, golf club etc.), accessories. But still their strong part is tennis and golf clothes.

Logo a crocodile looks right, shows it’s teeth and tongue on a boldly straight font which is designed for this brand. Crocodile logo comes from Renee Lacoste’s nickname; alligator.
Concept Based on research, decided to choose one of the strong sides of the brand. Golf is a wide and important part into Lacoste world. Brand produces high quality golf clothes and equipments.
Except professional golf cloths and equipments; brand has a collection called City Golf. Inspired from golf style and blend it with elegant city style.
Renee Lacoste’s wife; Simone de la Chaume and their daughter Catherine Lacoste was both were champion golf players.
Sketches
Show cases
Showcases are semi-transparent (front glasses are transparant, back windows are frosted glass) for draw attention but not show everything happening inside. Small aperture with golf clubs is for to give clue about concept from outside. Clothes hung with transparent strong ropes for self stand effect. Each column represents a collection. Inside showcases, leds are attached. Golf clubs are produced by brand. Cloud stickers attached to transparent glasses, could be seen from both sides; for an open air effect.

Vip room
A 3,5m/4 m room for meetings. There is a meeting table, Plasma tv for presentations, booklet stand, floor lamp and 2 wall lamps.
Windows are semi-translucent for both ensure privacy and make a sensation.
Catering
Catering area consists of a bar desk, videowall, a L seat and behind bar; a storage. Plastic vine bottles are used for drink. Under bar desk there is a vine cooler.
Storage Storage is for extra vine bottles and personnels’ belongings. Two wall lamps brighten the room. Sliding door of storage is placed behind bar desk.
Lights
To lighten the whole space, spot lights are located top of the stand area.

Brief Based on the given concept -stroller for sports- choose a target group and design a stroller for them.
Research After a research; decided to design a stroller for jogging. The stroller must be light, easy to control, has wide wheels for different kind of roads. It must has some sections for towel, phone, water bottle etc. because it’s for sport and it must satisfy the parents’ needs. It has to be fold easily.
Target users are young adults who loves to go jogging with their children. They prefers colorful and active life.

Food Trailer for Turmoils
Brief It’s too hard to face a diseaster and to handle it. Natural diseasters are unstoppable but in some ways damages could be get lighter. In the world diseasters cause billions of deaths and misery. People die, become cripple, get homeless. This project is about make researches and understand the situations in case of facing diseasters. After a problem definition design a product that serves to people in case of a turmoil.

Final Product
Aim of this product is to reach remote areas and bring people food as fast as it can in case of diseasters.
One car is responcible for 4 trailers.
Person who is responcible about these trailers also took food containers once in two hours. If trailer near city center, person could bring food when trailer’s finish early.
Details
Bain-marie has 3 sections. The plexy part for dust protection. When the trailer’s hatch needed to be closed, bain-maries dust protector could fold and close on to it. Under bain-marie, there is a space for extra food cases. Seat is folding because of space gain.
Chain fixes the hatch when it stands opened. When the hatch closed; chains prevents opening for security. There is a 20 watt led light under the hatch. When the days are short, it helps to work in the dark.
Under railing cover, there are containers for food. When it opened, people could take their containers and wait for food. Containers have hatch for carrying. Refrigerator is for reservist food containers and mini yoghurt cases. Yoghurt is an important food for people and when a diseaster happens, it becomes one of the most wanted foods. There is a product for generator. It helps easy carrying.
Trailer hatch closing details
Trailer has a hatch because it both protects the products and become a portable seiling. When it closed, whole trailer become more short and compact.
Release front sticks, fold them and put into the horizontal duct. (this system also locks the door for security while the trailer is not used) Release back sticks from chains and let them get into the vertical duct. Lock the hatch with te same chains.

a 2500 watt generator is enough for this trailer. Generally these kind of generators are 30-35 kg weight.
Mini trailer Cooler; 89kg Bain-marie; 80 kg Generator; 35 kg Frame of the trailer is not heavier that 500 kg. So this food trailer is a mini trailer. It doesn’t need a license.
Tow bar of this product is 85 cm’s. Because in a trailer it has to be 10 cm’s long than half of trailers widht.

Steam Cooker
Brief After choosing a target user group, has to design a product family which includes a steam cooker, a yoghurt maker and an egg cooker. Each product must be designed by a student but 3 of them needs to be work together to make them a family. Creating a brand was also necessary.
Target User Group A family with one toddler and one child has been choosen. They love healthy life and prefer it in their life.

Steam cooker and sterilization device are similar. Might be blended in one product. Generally people eat 2 types of food in one meal according to survey.

Lots of logo workout has been made by group members. Studied together while creating brand identity. Form of product family is soft, smooth and simple.
Logo represents kids and the importance that this brand gave to them. Baloon is a strong sign that this product family cares about children and focused to that area. 3 main colors are selected because of simplicity and colorful soul.

Final product is simple, colorful and useful. It’s a stemar which has a sterilization mode and pawns (15 of them). Color of this product is one of the main colors; red. Because it represents heat. Bases could be removed while in sterilization progress.

Back rest could transform into a seating unit while resting; not riding. Hatch of the stick and napkin unit could transform into a cotton candy stand while resting.
