On May 27, 2023, Veteransville held its first major fundraising event near the beauty of the bay at Hickory Hill Country Club and Resort in Gautier, Mississippi

Complete with vendors, good food, and the U.S. Navy's color guard, this event was the start of beautiful relationships between other nonprofits and veteran-owned businesses along the Mississippi Gulf Coast!

Veteransville is an organization whose mission is to connect Veterans and their families with the resources they need to live healthy and happy lives after they separate from military service. The funds raised from this tournament will be used to help feed homeless Veterans, provide job training and non-clinical mental health support for Veterans, and allow the organization to do several smaller community outreach projects throughout the fall and winter

"The partnerships and collaborations formed from this tournament are just the start of us making a big impact on our communities," said Veteransville's Executive Director, Brandy Miles, "we're excited to see all the ways these businesses and volunteers will be serving others in the days ahead. It's all about connecting and helping others get what they need to be productive and active in our community. We all just have to look out for each other and work together to make good things happen "

Joining Veteransville at this year's event were several vendors and volunteers from the U S Navy, Keesler Air Force Base, and private businesses across the Gulf Coast Sponsors included Aetna (Wendy Bradford), Writing for Success, LLC (Ashley and Anthony Prima), Blue Lotus Creations Herbal Emporium (Natalie Jones-Bonner), and Smokin' Guns Range & Training Academy, LLC, (Rob Cavaco), Gulf Coast Training & Education Services, LLC (Sheila Farr), FEB Distributing, Stark Exterminators, Russell Manning (Attorney at Law), and Hoop Cares, LLC (Liz Hoop).

"This year's volunteers also made a big difference in the success of our program. They were full of smiles and a big help this year with getting everything organized and in place on the day of the event," said Miles. Veteransville would like to thank the following volunteers:

Jessika Jones, PT, DPT, NeoLife Physical Therapy

Alex Gordon, Keesler Air Force Base

Melody Worsham, Mental Health Association of South Mississippi

Liz Hoop, Hoop Cares, LLC

Byron Miles, Veteransville President, and the entire management and staff of Hickory Hill Country Club and Resort!

Veteransville's 2024 tournament is already scheduled at Hickory Hill for May 18th. For more information, contact Brandi Miles at veteransvilleinfo@gmail.com
