CROW KID
By
LemonyS Puppet Theatre
Hosted by Creswick Theatre Company
Crow Kid has moved to Nanna’s farm after a recent loss. It’s summer holidays but it doesn’t feel like a normal summer – they’re lonely and super miserable! To ease their misery, they start to feed the crows who visit Nanna’s yard, beginning a beautiful friendship between child and bird. A powerful story about resilience, connection and the healing power of friendship, Crow Kid is presented through shadow puppetry ‘unplugged’. Projected onto a back screen with all the mechanicians revealed, audience members see how the effects and shadows are created, inspiring them to create their own stories in shadows. TERRY PRATCHETT'S:
WYRD
SISTERS
Presented by Ballarat National Theatre
Terry Pratchett's iconic novel adapted for the stage by Stephen Briggs. Pratchett's tale comedically weaves together Hamlet, Macbeth & King Lear and at the centre of it all are three witches - but they're the only thing standing between the kingdom of Lancre and Very Bad Things. This play has it all: a loyal fool and his maddening nuncle, an evil usurping power couple, hands that won't come clean & the ghost of a murdered king hoping to tell someone what happened to him.

THE 25TH ANNUAL PUTNAM COUNTY SPELLING BEE
Presented by BLOC Music Theatre
An eclectic group of six mid-pubescents vie for the spelling championship of a lifetime. While candidly disclosing hilarious and touching stories from their home lives, the tweens spell their way through a series of (potentially made-up) words, hoping never to hear the soul-crushing, pout-inducing, life un-affirming "ding" of the bell that signals a spelling mistake.
Six spellers enter; one speller leaves a champion! At least the losers get a juice box.

MENOPAUSE THE MUSICAL
Four women at a lingerie sale have nothing in common but a black lace bra, memory loss, hot flushes, night sweats, not enough sex, too much sex and more. Inspired by a hot flush and a bottle of wine, Menopause the Musical is a celebration for women who are on the brink of, in the middle of, or have survived “The Change”. SHAKESPEARE'S CAESAR
Presented by Ballarat National Theatre
Caesar is known by many to be generous, powerful, a brilliant tactician, and a wise leader. He is also known to be ambitious. Some Romans look to an old custom; when one man seeks to make himself a king, it is every citizen's responsibility to see him dead. Julius Caesar is one of Shakespeare's more unique plays; a story without a clear hero or villain, where the tension comes from the political backdrop of the Roman Republic's final days. A political thriller that tells the story of the conspiracy against Caesar, his assassination and the defeat of his conspirators. Tix: hermaj.com
