There are lots of alternatives to the slopes, if you know where to look
People across the globe look forward to the winter with one image in mind: snowcovered slopes. But skiing and snowboarding aren’t for everyone! If you prefer to stay indoors, safe from the windchill, or if you simply aren’t a fan of high speeds, there are still plenty of entertainment options available to you.
BrewView explored several of these alternative winter sports and entertainment options, and here’s what we discovered.
Curling is a game in which two teams of four players each slide curling stones over a stretch of ice toward a target circle, and the place to play it is at Rutland Rocks
Curling Club . Rutland Rocks is an “arena club,” meaning they own their own stones and equipment, but don’t operate their own facilities. Instead, they lease time two nights a week at the Giorgetti Arena, which is owned by the city of Rutland.
The management at the nonprofit club told BrewView that they welcome members of all ages and ability levels. “The members of our club are especially dedicated to the ‘spirit of curling.’ People are friendly, our club is very social, and people like to play the game to the best of their ability but are not overly competitive,” says club board member Matt Olewnik.
Rutland Rocks also has youth programs at local schools and hosts the state’s only local curling
tournament each year—called a bonspiel. The club is also working to create a shorter version of the game for seniors, which they plan to call “Sturling.” They hope to raise funds to build a dedicated curling club in Vermont.
Snow and ice aren’t the best ground cover for golf. So try indoor simulators like those at the Green Room instead! You don’t have to be a golf pro to enjoy them. The Green Room boasts a newly constructed space with two state-of-the art full-swing simulators.
And if you want the company but just aren’t feeling your swing that day, the facility has a movie theater screen in the background that can play movies, music, or television. t offers other sports, too, so you can simulate hockey, basketball, baseball, lacrosse, and even zombie dodgeball, just to name a few.
The Green Room also hosts private events where guests can rent out simulators and an attached bar area, and they’re starting up a winter golf league for 2025.
Rock climbing isn’t just a workout—it promotes mental health, provides a place for social interaction, and is simply fun! At Petra Cliffs Climbing Center & Mountaineering School , visitors, with help from staff, can try out bouldering (climbing lower to the ground without a harness), using the auto belays (a device that allows you to clip in and climb without a partner), or “top roping,” learning how to belay (managing the rope for your climber).
pen since 000, Petra Cliffs offers a variety of options depending on your skill level and preferences. “We love providing a place for the community and visitors to play, learn, connect, and to experience healthy challenges,” owner Andrea Charest tells BrewView.
Petra Cliffs hosts a variety of parties, like the Reel Rock Film Tour and the “Beans & Boulders” bouldering competition, and they are building a new climbing facility just a few hundred feet from their current location in Burlington.
Green Mountain Rock Climbing Center also boasts a friendly and welcoming environment. “Indoor climbing is an activity we want to make accessible to anyone and everyone, with experience or without,” says Haley Elliott, an instructor at Green Mountain.
Green Mountain focuses on climbers of all ages. They offer training programs specially designed for kids six and under called Little Rockers and Gecko Training, and an older-adult group called the “Flailing Fossils.” There is also a ten-week competitive adult league, which includes a handicap system.
“What excites me most is seeing personal growth happen for the youth of our community! Climbing is both a physical sport, and a thinking sport and getting to witness our students have breakthroughs in their personal climbing journeys is wonderful,” Haley says.
If you’re around the Upper Valley, check out The Notch . Josh Garrison, the co-founder and climbing manager there, describes the business as a “kidfriendly modern climbing gym with engaging, challenging, and fun climbing routes and boulder problems.”
The Notch is working on expanding its program offerings and soon will launch an adult league and community competition.
“The Notch fills a void in the pper Valley and provides a gathering place for outdoor and community-oriented individuals looking to share climbing with others,” Josh says. “We are most excited about creating a positive and healthy community gathering place for our members.
Pond skimming season is upon us, promising tons of fun for the whole family
As spring approaches, ski enthusiasts and fun seekers alike are gearing up for one of the most entertaining traditions of the season: pond skimming. This lighthearted competition sees skiers and snowboarders donning outrageous costumes as they attempt to glide across a man-made pond without sinking. Vermont’s top ski resorts—Sugarbush, Killington, and Smugglers’ Notch—are hosting their
annual pond skimming events this April, promising a day full of fun, laughter, and memorable moments.
Pond skimming is a spring skiing tradition that combines humor, creativity, and skill. Participants attempt to ski or snowboard across a pond, often resulting in epic splashes for those who don’t make it across. Spectators play a big role in the fun,
cheering for participants and enjoying the creative costumes and amusing wipeouts. Many resorts turn their pond skimming events into full-day festivals, with live music, food, and additional contests.
If you plan to participate, keep these tips in mind:
Dress Creatively: Costumes are a key part of the fun. The more elaborate,
the better! Consider themes that are humorous or unexpected but still allow for movement.
Sign Up Early: Participation is limited, so register as soon as the event details are announced.
Be Prepared: While the goal is to skim across the pond, many participants take an icy dip. Bring a change of clothes and a towel, just in case.
Follow the Rules: Ensure you
understand and follow the resort’s safety guidelines.
Watching is just as fun as participating. Get the most out of your experience with these tips.
Arrive Early: Good viewing spots can fill up quickly, so plan to get there before the event starts.
Stay Comfortable: Dress in layers to stay warm in Vermont’s unpredictable spring weather.
Bring Snacks: While resorts often have food and beverage vendors, packing your own can save time. Capture the Moment: Don’t forget your camera these events are filled with photo-worthy moments.
Pond skimming is more than just a ski tradition—it’s a celebration of the change from winter to spring. It’s a chance to laugh, enjoy creative costumes, and see some impressive (and often hilarious) performances. Whether you’re a participant or a spectator, these events promise memories you’ll cherish.
Be sure to check each resort’s website for the latest details on times and registration. Don’t miss your chance to enjoy the fun this spring!

There are those who say brewing is a labor of love. For Red Leaf Gluten-Free Brewing owners Matt and Andrea Stanley, it’s been part of their personal love story.
Matt and Andrea say that when they first met, they loved going to breweries together. One year, Andrea surprised Matt with a . -gallon homebrew kit to play with.
But about seven or eight years after they met, their favorite hobby seemed to fall out of favor. Andrea began having major issues digesting beer, and learned that she had celiac disease, an immune disorder that requires the elimination of gluten from one’s diet. After a bit, Matt wound up with the
same sensitivity and adopted Andrea’s new gluten-free eating habits.
But the two of them refused to let go of beer. Matt started using his home brew kit to create their own beers.
At the time, there weren’t many gluten-free options for any food, let alone beer. The only option was to make it with a sweet extract of sorghum, a plant related to sugarcane. Matt says it produced a thin, onedimensional taste.
“Gluten-free beer, by its nature, can be a little lighter,” he explains. “ t’s not cultivated to have so much sugar ready to go.”
Plus, with regular beer, many home brewers can look up recipes online to
help guide them in the crafting their brews. Gluten-free brewers didn’t have that option.
“We were just kind of winging it,” Matt says. “For a number of years, we were just playing around. And then one day, you think, Wow, this is really good!’”
He started making small batches two and a half to five gallons at a time. t took a couple of years for Matt and Andrea to feel comfortable with the equipment and the recipes enough to move forward in creating an actual brewery.
“We really liked our beer,” Matt says. But then to actually see people latch on to us… There’s a couple of adjectives that come to mind. think
the first one is validating.’”
Nowadays, there are a lot more gluten-free ingredient options on the market that Matt says drastically improve the flavor and depth of the beer along with the types of brews they’re able to produce.
“We’ve had so many people come in who are just honestly surprised, saying, ’d never would would have guessed this is gluten-free.’”
They finally opened Red Leaf in 01 , only for the pandemic to hit shortly after. That wasn’t entirely bad for the business, however. t forced Matt to figure out the canning side of things.
Red Leaf can’t use mobile canners because those facilities interact with products that contain gluten. “We’re just not willing to take any risk,” he explains. “So we can everything here ourselves in the brewery, one can at a time, by hand.”
Right now, the canning operation is still pretty small because the brewery’s output as a whole remains small.
f you’re looking to try Red Leaf, it is available at a few other breweries and in some local stores as well. But your best bet is to check out the
Red Leaf Taproom on Main Street in Jeffersonville.
The taproom is located in one of the oldest homes in the city, in a house donated to the area’s historic society. t was the site of the original telephone exchange for the village back in the 1 0s. Matt has been working to renovate and modernize it a bit.
Matt says Jeffersonville has a “Small Town SA” feel to it, with year-round tourist traffic mixed in with locals who’ve supported Red Leaf and cheered them on through the years.
At the taproom itself, Matt says he and Andrea have created an intimate, cozy experience where visitors can have lots of one-on-one time with their server or even with the owners.
“We just get really, really thrilled We really like just getting to know people,” Matt says. “ t’s not abnormal for someone to come in the door and start crying because they re so happy to have a safe, gluten-free brewery where they can go and enjoy a beer and feel normal.’”
The taproom includes a living room area with a couple of couches and a coffee table where people can kick back
and hang out. Matt says that he and one of their customers built the bar together.
“ t’s just a really tight-knit community, and we really enjoy being a part of it,” Matt says.
More surprising: Matt and Andrea’s brewery is just a sideline. They both have full-time jobs, which have prevented them from expanding the brewery as they’d hoped.
n the summer of 0 , they’d hoped to get larger equipment and increase their output from one barrel to . . But a flood took out their electrical system and their furnace, which cost them 0,000 in damages.
The dream of expansion is still alive, but Matt says it may look different from what he originally planned.
n the meantime, Matt and Andrea are working on new beers. They’ve resurrected a bourbon barrel-aged porter, and friends brought them some peaches from Georgia, which they crafted into a peach Saison. This summer, they plan to roll out a summer ale.

How two neighboring farms crafted a Vermont original
When local farms unite, the results can be magical. Such is the case with Sunset Lake Cannabis and Hackett’s Orchard, whose partnership brought forth High Branch Sparkling Cannabis Cider.
This innovative beverage combines Vermont’s apple-growing tradition with its emerging cannabis industry, creating a product that is as bold as it is rooted in the state’s heritage.
COLLABORATION ROOTED IN HISTORY AND COMMUNITY
The partnership between Sunset Lake Cannabis and Hackett’s Orchard grew
naturally from a shared history and proximity. Sam Bellavance, owner of Sunset Lake Cannabis, explains, “Hackett’s Orchard has always had a special place in my heart. My grandmother was the sister of Celia Hackett, one of the orchard’s original owners.” Childhood visits filled with apple picking and family tours left an impression, making Hackett’s the obvious collaborator for the project.
For Orchard Manager Devin Hackett, the decision was equally straightforward. “They’re as local as local gets!” he says. “I can practically see their farm from our orchard.” This closeness allowed the
two businesses to work together seamlessly, merging their expertise to craft something truly unique.
High Branch Sparkling Cannabis Cider stands out in the crowded cannabis beverage market for its simplicity and commitment to quality. “There are a lot of tasty cannabis beverages in Vermont,” says Rev Baker, director of marketing at Sunset Lake Cannabis, “but High Branch is crafted with fresh farm produce no chemical flavors or added sweeteners, just crisp apples and sun-grown cannabis.”
Hackett’s Orchard provided a blend of Macintosh and Crispin apples, two Vermont staples that balance tartness with natural sweetness. Sunset Lake Cannabis added sun-grown cannabis, known for its robust terpene profile, which balances the cider’s flavor with a subtle bitterness. The result is a crisp, effervescent drink with fine bubbles reminiscent of Prosecco.
Creating High Branch was a meticulous process. Hackett’s Orchard developed a cider blend that highlighted its apples’ terroir, the unique flavor profile shaped by the land. Sunset Lake Cannabis worked with Taunik, a well-loved Vermont cannabis drink manufacturer, to refine the recipe. “It took a lot of taste tests,”
says Rev, “but we found the perfect balance of sweetness and cannabis complexity.”
High Branch is more than just a beverage it’s a reflection of Vermont’s agricultural roots. “Vermont has been growing apples since the 1 00s,” Rev shares, “and now, with cannabis legalized, we’re merging two iconic crops in a way that’s authentic to the state.”
The drink even pays homage to history with its Stoned Fence Cocktail, a nonalcoholic twist on Ethan Allen’s favorite libation.

Pour the cider over crushed ice in a glass, add bitters, and garnish with a lemon peel.
Each can of High Branch contains two 5mg THC servings, designed for sharing or sipping slowly. High Branch is made with fast-acting nano-emulsified THC, so most people will start to feel the effects within 10-20 minutes. However, Sunset Lake

Cannabis recommends that newcomers start with one serving and wait up to an hour before enjoying another.
Hackett’s Orchard and Sunset Lake Cannabis are deeply committed to sustainability. Hackett’s keeps its apples fresh year-round with energy-efficient refrigerated storage, implemented in partnership with fficiency Vermont. n the fields, smaller, more productive apple trees reduce labor and environmental impact.
Sunset Lake Cannabis takes its efforts further as Vermont’s first Climate Neutral Certified cannabis farm. “Sustainability is central to every decision we make,” Sam says. Their eco-conscious practices prioritize land preservation and responsible farming, setting an example for Vermont agriculture.
The success of High Branch has inspired plans for future collaborations. “We’re already brainstorming new recipe ideas,” Sam shares, hinting at what’s to come. But no matter the next steps, the cider remains a celebration of Vermont’s community, crops, and creativity.
Whether you’re a cider enthusiast or a cannabis connoisseur, High Branch offers a taste of Vermont like no other—refreshing, balanced, and undeniably local.
A steadfast commitment to quality is what Vermont’s craft beer industry is all about
As the calendar flips to a new year, Vermont’s craft beer industry is raising a glass to innovation, resilience, and community connection. Long celebrated as one of the most vibrant beer scenes in the nited States, Vermont is no stranger to both challenges and triumphs. The upcoming year promises exciting trends, continued sustainability efforts, and a steadfast commitment to quality
that keeps the Green Mountain State at the forefront of craft brewing.
Consumer preferences are evolving, and Vermont breweries are quick to adapt. Low-alcohol-by-volume ABV beers are becoming the go-to for beer enthusiasts who want to savor flavors without the buzz. Vermont
brewers are leading the charge with everything from refreshing lagers to sparkling hop waters. At this year’s Vermont Craft Brewers Conference, Jack Hendler and Joe Connolly of Jack’s Abby Craft Lagers shared their expertise on modern lagers, captivating a packed room. The buzz around lighter, “sessionable” beers, i.e., those with a low alcohol content, isn’t just a trend it’s a movement.
But the innovation doesn’t stop there. Vermont breweries are diversifying beyond beer, crafting hard seltzers, ciders, and even barrel-aged spirits to compete with a growing lineup of alcoholic beverages. This expansion requires investment in new equipment and production techniques, but the payoff
is a broader audience and fresh opportunities to surprise loyal patrons.
In a state where environmental consciousness is second nature, Vermont’s breweries are setting the bar high for sustainable practices. The
Vermont Brewers Association (VBA) Sustainability Committee is at the forefront, helping breweries reduce waste, compost spent grain, and improve energy efficiency. Through partnerships with fficiency Vermont, breweries have saved $114,000 annually in energy costs and avoided over 426 metric tons of carbon emissions each year since 2020. These initiatives not only protect Vermont’s natural beauty but also reflect the ethos of the craft beer industry—carefully crafted beer for a carefully cared for planet.
The pandemic tested Vermont’s craft beer scene, but resilience and creativity carried the industry through. Taprooms have become hubs of

connection, hosting trivia nights, mug clubs, and community events that bring people together. While staffing shortages and supply chain hiccups linger, Vermont breweries continue to thrive, driven by an unshakable love of good beer and great company.
Outdoor events remain essential, though unpredictable weather can pose challenges. Rising costs of ingredients and materials are also squeezing profit margins. et Vermont’s brewers aren’t ones to back down, finding innovative solutions to keep their businesses and their beer flowing.
Craft beer isn’t just a beverage in Vermont it’s an economic powerhouse. With a $419 million economic impact in 0 , Vermont’s breweries lead the nation in production and consumption per capita. Last year alone, Vermont produced 352,999 barrels of craft beer, solidifying its status as a beer-lover’s paradise.
The VBA’s Passport Program has turned beer tourism into an adventure. Enthusiasts collect digital stamps at participating breweries, redeeming them for prizes while boosting local business. Over the past year, nearly 14,400 stamps were collected, generating an estimated $5,643 per brewery.
And let’s not forget the Vermont Brewers Festival in Burlington—a marquee event that draws thousands of visitors. Featuring exclusive festival beers, creative collaborations, and participation from 46 breweries, the festival showcases the camaraderie and creativity that make Vermont’s beer scene unique.
As Vermont’s craft beer industry heads into 202 , the outlook is bright. The Vermont Brewers Association’s 30th anniversary this year will be celebrated with a special collaboration beer, honoring three decades of innovation and community. Founded in 1 by Greg Noonan, the VBA has been instrumental in shaping the state’s craft beer culture and championing legislative changes that paved the way for brewpubs and on-site beer sales.
The industry’s history is rich, but its future is equally exciting. Brewers are embracing emerging trends, from low-ABV options to cutting-edge sustainability practices, ensuring that Vermont remains a leader in craft brewing.
As the state continues to navigate challenges and seize opportunities, one thing is certain: Vermont’s craft beer industry will keep raising the bar—and raising glasses to what’s next.

The Shelburne Tap House now has more room and an expanded menu
The Shelburne Tap House is growing. And when it comes to the decision to expand, owners Barbara Cote and Roselle Tena say there was a want and a need. “We wanted to expand our bar, restaurant seating, and kitchen space,” Barb and Roselle say. “We also felt that our neighborhood needed another pizza option and that presented an opportunity to add to our already eclectic menu.”
The expansion became a reality when some adjacent space became available. “We jumped on the opportunity to expand, feeling that the time was right, and the need was glaring,” Barb and Roselle say. “We had outgrown our old bar and kitchen spaces. Every corner, chair, and table were a bit crowded in the old space,
and now there’s more room–it’s kind of a breath of fresh air and light.” The expansion began in late February 2023 and finished in late June 0 .
The highlight of the expanded space is the newly built bar made from Vermont pine from Clifford Lumber in Hinesburg over 60 feet of wood was ordered to get the angles and depth exact! It is a true “work of art” and stunning reflection of the Vermont countryside.
Another addition to the expansion is the creation of a flex room referred to as the “Rainbow Room.” The room can be rented for private parties of 30-40 guests. When not in use for private parties, it is used as a lounge so people can hang out and have a drink while they wait for a table.
As part of the expansion Barb and Roselle brought in an electric energyefficient pizza oven. “We put a lot of research and testing of other ovens before deciding on our Polin oven from Italy. It’s a precision pizza-making oven, enabling us to make the pizza exactly the way we want it.”
The Shelburne Tap House pizza dough is a cold-fermented dough that begins with a 24-hour “poolish” and then another 48 hours of cold fermentation. The extra time allotted for that style of dough results in a more flavorful dough with great texture and mouthfeel. Additionally, the cold fermentation makes the dough more easily digestible for some. Undoubtedly, making pizza dough is also a labor of love and as the Shelburne Tap House
looks to expand the pizza menu offerings, be on the lookout for subs, pizza sandwiches, and slices.
Currently pizza is available Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, with offerings such as a Smashburger Pizza comprised of sesame-crusted pizza dough, special sauce, mozzarella, crumbled smash burgers, white onion, American cheese, and “shrettuce” or a Mortadella and Burrata Pizza Sandwich comprised of a baked pizza dough folded and stuffed with thinly sliced mortadella, Vermont burrata, basil pesto, fresh basil, and crushed pistachios.
All that fantastic food is created largely with fresh ingredients through collaborations with local producers. The Shelburne Tap House works with several local farmers while in season or as they have fresh produce available. They source their ground
beef from Fat Cow Farm in Charlotte and utilize many of the great Vermont cheeses Jasper Hill, Grafton, Shelburne Farms and more. Local ice cream from Sisters of Anarchy rounds out many of the local, Vermont and regional outsourcing of delicious food.
The expanded bar also offers an opportunity to expand their beverage options and partner with ero Gravity Brewery to create their house signature beer called “Barb” a delicious, easydrinking hazy PA. “Barb” is available on draft and by growler bring in your own or they will provide one for you. n addition to “Barb” and other ero Gravity pours, you will always find tasty suds from Fiddlehead, Switchback, Frost, Sip of Sunshine, and many other great Vermont breweries.
The Shelburne Tap House mantra has always been “Friends Gather Here…”
and will continue to be an active partner in the community by donating to countless silent auctions, local school sporting teams and activity groups, raising money for the CH LL Foundation, Cochran’s Ski Program, and the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society or by yearly sponsorship of Shelburne’s Town Fireworks. Clearly, the Shelburne Tap House understands its role in the community as a gathering place for all.
They also know that their reach can go beyond the local radius, and in July of 0 , the Shelburne Tap House worked with local and state representatives to coordinate an effort to feed free meals to those affected and volunteering in the cleanup of the aftermath of the devasting summer floods. “We got the green light and immediately filled our food truck, “Foodie Vuitton,” and drove to Montpelier and fed over 00 people. We didn’t leave until the truck was empty of all food,” Barb and Roselle say. ther fundraising events supported the Homeless Prevention Center in Rutland with a beverage program they hosted at the bar called “Cocktails for a Cause,” where a dollar was donated from each featured cocktail sold.
The Shelburne Tap House continues to be a local female-owned business, offering a welcome environment for all. t’s a comfy, cozy place to bring the family or meet with friends and watch a game or catch up over an array of delicious food offerings and tasty libations.

CANNABIS CORNER
BY MEREDITH MANN, JESSILYN DOLAN, AND AMELIA
We got so much "buzz" about this Cannabis Corner, we thought we'd run it again for those that missed it last year.
Nestled on the northernmost point of Mount Mansfield and a world-renowned ski resort, Smugglers Notch and it’s caverns in Cambridge, were once used for safe passage and storage of alcohol and contraband during periods of government overreach. Cambridge’s legacy as a protector of free will, choice, and safe passage continues through Cambridge Cannabis Company dispensary. www.cambridgecannabiscompany.com
GROWER: Honey Tree Farm
STRAIN: Wizard Express
GENETICS: Blissful Wizard x Pineapple Express
OUTDOOR SUN GROWN
LAB TESTS: THC %: 24.5
TERPENES: 2.96%
HARVESTDATE: Fall 2023
Wizard Express, a cross of Blissful Wizard and Pineapple xpress, was grown on repurposed organic hayfields at a retired dairy farm in Barre. Honey Tree Farm produces both indoor- and outdoor-grown flowers, with Wizard xpress being one of the 0 fall outdoor strains it released.
As we opened the biodegradable bag, the initial nose was sweet, floral, and tropical. Secondary notes were earth with a touch of spice. The structure was typical of Vermont outdoor grown. With our scope, we saw a moderate amount of mature, amber, and ripened trichomes, just ready for picking or smoking .
As we opened the nugget and ground her up, the sweet aroma shone through. t was a little dry for grinding and rolling. The sweet aroma opened with a splash of tropical and floral notes as we rolled, and inhaled our j’s before lighting the “dry hit” . nce we lit up, a moderate creamy smoke came through, and the sweetness reigned supreme once again with a touch of chem, earth, and spice on the back end. Cambridge Cannabis states, “This tasty strain will have you grabbing your
wizard wand and looking for your seat on the Wizard xpress after just the first hit!” For us, we found it to be stimulating, motivating, and energizing, noting those with anxiety might want to exercise caution. www.honeytreefarmvt.com
GROWER: Lost Lake Cannabis
STRAIN: Blueberry Muffin
GENETICS: Humboldt Seed Company Razzle Berry x Purple Panty ropper
OUTDOORGROWN
LAB TESTS: THC %: 1 . , 18. total cannabinoids
TERPENES: 3.53%
HARVESTDATE: Fall 2023
As we pulled the nugget from the bag, the beautiful purple color was striking. We raved about the “bag appeal” for the color alone. t was evident the detailed trim job was done with care on the loosely structured kolas inside. Through our scope, the trichome coverage was moderate, with small, lean, and clear trichome heads, many intact, and the deep, brilliant purple color awed us.
The immediate aroma was an undeniably sweet blueberry and chem, followed by well-balanced spice, floral, and earth to round her out. To us, it was a classic and delicious mix. Sweet came powering through on the grind after the roll and dry hit, it went back to the fruit and blueberry.
This hit the mark with an overall quality cure, evident on the grind and with the roll. There was great moisture content for an outdoor-grown, bulk-stored flower, and it rolled and burned very nicely. For a beta-caryophyllene dominant strain, she smoked smoothly and consistently.
Blueberry Muffin has a top-notch, all-around great profile for newcomers and savory and sweet lovers, with a beautiful mix of terpenes and just enough THC. The fruitiness is just right, and spice, sweetness, floral, and that pungent kick of chem hit home. t will show just about anyone a good taste and time.
The high came on quickly as the thick smoke coats your throat, mouth, and nasal passages. Powerful, relaxing effects were the consensus, as you might expect from a strain with 1. % beta-caryophyllene and 0. 1% myrcene, followed by humulene, bisabolol, and limonene terpenes. nown to be supportive of pain,
it also has gastrointestinal benefits, increasing appetite, decreasing nausea, and stimulating digestion. With a solid head high and deep body relaxation, the Blueberry Muffin was mildly sedative, and left a big smile on our faces. We think it will do the same for you!

GROWER: VT Green Castle Reserve
STRAIN: Gummiez
GENETICS: Jet Fuel Gelato x Peach Ringz.
INDOOR GROWN
LAB TESTS: THC % 22.48 total, 27.03 total cannabinoids TERPENES: 1.9%
HARVEST DATE: Summer 2023
With a deep almost warm color of kelly green, purple highlights, and vibrant orange stigmas, Gummiez was a picture worthy of capturing. The structure was extremely dense and tight, true to
form, and up to par for an indoor, synthetic nutrient-grown strain.
Viewing small yet intact trichomes through our scopes, we noted many amber-colored heads, speaking to the maturity and time the cultivator allowed for true ripening.
We then drew Gummiez in close to assess the aroma. The first notes brought us a tangy, candy-like fruity sweetness, true to its name. They were followed by an aroma reminiscent of ground coffee, a nutty and warm smell. We continued looking for brighter notes on the grind and dry hit, and unearthed a more complex nose, adding some spice and sweetness, especially on the dry hit.
As we burned this one down, we didn’t notice the greasy ring around the joint’s tip like we often do with Jet Fuel strains. The fruit flavors and the Peach Ringz genetics continued to be the main flavor on our palates, with coffee reminding us of the uplifting effects to be expected. The intense spice and tickle in the back of our throats reminded us of either the potent transcaryophyllene terpene packed into this strain or the synthetic nutrients used to help bring her to life!
The tangy, almost apricot and peach-like fruitiness with tantalizing coffee notes and a spicy bite on the back end were followed by moderately layered flavors that blended nicely into a perfectly uplifting and energizing pick-me-up. The smoke was smooth and light-bodied and tickled the nose and throat halfway down. Stimulating, cheerful, and cerebral, it equated to one ready-to-rock, happy camper for hours on end! For the person looking for that deeper body high and physicality, or someone who needs to be cautious due to anxiety, we might say to look further. For the person who is all about playing, dancing, being creative, or chatting it up, Gummiez by VT Green Castle Reserve is what you are looking for.
