this newsletter is rich in important headlines and I hope useful considerations. The half-year results show that the path taken by Best Union Group is giving results. Whatever indicator is positive compared to the same period last year and net profit showed encourages us to pursue without delay the work of attention to costs and investments towards products and people. I wish to thank those who supported us with confidence and energy in the years in which the results were not always up to expectations.
Who does not constantly seeks the truth and does not have quite clear that the good of the company comes before that of an individual, cannot belong to our group. After coming back from the well-deser ved summer break we want to remember that the selection of managers of the Group is based both on human and professional qualities.
Within this logic, after more than ten years after his entry into the Group, Silvano Taiani was appointed Deputy CEO by the Board of Best Union on August 28th. His mission is to accomplish the various activities and the results that the Board expects from the Group. It our task to support him with sincerity and loyalty in this challenge. The Group is also growing thanks to the acquisition of ENTA UK, English branch of the homonymous American company. The UK market seems the only European market with a level of maturity equal to the American one: the English one may be the launch platform for entry into new and important
markets, such as India, traditionally linked to the British market. In the next issue we will be able to give concrete perspectives to the many initiatives undertaken by the Group. I take this opportunity to extend my warmest greetings to all those who follow us closely.

The New Season of the Teatro di Roma the third signed by the Director Gabriele Lavia - opens the stage of the historic Argentina Hall to offer the public a dense cultural program in the belief that theatre is a public good to be shared with the city. A program that combines the classics with contemporary drama signed by of the masters of the scene, p r e s t i g i o u s international guests and a special attention to the art expressions of the Roman area. On October 9th the Teatro Regio Torino has opened its season which is one of the most interesting and full of unmissable events of recent years. There will be thirteen operas, two ballets, a premiered show and a Gala dedicated to Giuseppe Verdi. On top of such formidable commitment we must still add the tour in Japan; another invitation after the great success in 2010. The focus will be on the great Italian music, particularly of Verdi and Puccini, which will be dedicated to the two festivals. In parallel, the project will be continued to create a solid repertoire of opera symbol, alternating more and more titles thanks to the historical staging of own production, to offer, in short periods of time, more varied point of views based on the production of the great Masters. The Verdi Festival, celebrating the 200th anniversary of
Verdi's birth, was opened by Simon Boccanegra conducted by Gianandrea Noseda, in the beautiful setting designed for the Teatro Regio by Sylvano Bussotti. The Festival will thus continue with two of the operas that are not only popular but also paradigmatic, both from a "political" and a "sociological" aspect: Rigoletto and La traviata. The tribute to Giuseppe Verdi will be further enhanced thanks to the premiere of Verdi, narrar cantando, the show by Marco Paolini and Mario Brunello, and a Gala lyric-symphonic with three broad selections from Macbeth, Il Trovatore and Aida with an exceptional cast: Barbara Frittoli, Marcelo Ă lvarez, Marianne Cornetti e Leo Nucci. Other central characters of the Italian spirit will be Gioachino Rossini with Il barbiere di Siviglia, and Guglielmo Tell and Giacomo Puccini, with the Festival dedicated to him, where Madama Butterfly, Turandot, Tosca and Gianni Schicchi will be put on stage.

Cold gloomy autumn evenings? With Best Union they are just a bad memory... It may sound strange but in full Autumn in Trieste Spring blooms again... At Politeama Rossetti, theatre of Trieste, from 7 th to 10 th November Spring Awakening will be staged. The play was written in 1891 and is one of the masterpieces of Frank Wedekind, written in 1891 and staged for the first time in 1906 in a famous edition of Max Reinhardt, director of the Deutsches Theater in Berlin.

The work was banned for some time due to its frank portrayal of abortion, homosexuality, rape, child abuse and suicide. Set in late-19th century Germany, the musical tells the story of t e e n a g e r s discovering the inner and outer tumult of sexuality. Too much for Germany of the late nineteenth century, but also for the early twentieth century America. The Italian edition, with live band, was made true to the original American: the dialogues have been translated, while the songs are performed in their original language with translation projected on an overhead projector, to take back to the school environment. The only concession in the Italian setting, directed by Emanuele Gamba, is the transposition of the historical moment: the turn of the century in Germany becomes the Thirties in Italy. After four years, from December 29th 2013 to January 1st 2014 at the pavilions of the Fiera di Roma and the new and prestigious location at the Sheraton Golf Resort, headquarters of the event. This is the only New Year Festival in the world able to gather in Rome the most popular artists and DJs on the international scene of electronic music, techno, and dance.
