BEST UNION SHOWCASES LATEST IN TICKETING TECHNOLOGY AT IAAPA 2016! Best Union exhibited the latest in ticketing and access control technology at the IAAPA Attraction Expo November 15th - 18th in Orlando, Florida. Show attendees enjoyed demonstrations in the newly designed booth (which highlighted Best Union’s ability to support ticketing operations onsite, online and on mobile devices) and found out how Best Union transforms ticketing operations for some of the world's most prestigious attractions.

Recently BOS has been installed at multiple prestigious attractions, including Colonial Williamsburg, Tennessee Aquarium, Zoos Victoria and the Louvre Museum.

BEST UNION SUCCESSFULLY SUPPORT SINGAPORE GP 2016! A talented team of resources from Best Union Singapore and Italy successfully supported the 2016 Formula 1 Singapore Grand Prix! Best Union provided access control and accreditation for this exciting event that took place at the Marina Bay Street Circuit over a three-day weekend (16th - 18th of September). This was the fifteenth round of the 2016 Formula One season, and marked the seventeenth running of the Singapore Grand Prix and the ninth time the race had been held at Marina Bay. Mercedes driver Nico Rosberg won what is thought of as one of the toughest grand prix races on the calendar, and the Best Union team was there to successfully support access control for the hundreds of thousands of fans in attendance over the 3 day event.

BEST UNION AT 29TH ANNUAL WORLD FEDERATION OF GREAT TOWERS CONFERENCE IN TOKYO Best Union’s Sr. Sales Manager, Scott Sauls, was honored to be a featured speaker at the 29th Annual World Federation of Great Towers (WFGT) held in Tokyo, Japan on September 25th-29th. The Federation’s members gathered in the iconic Tokyo Tower for industry-related best practice discussions, presentations and activities. The World Federation of Great Towers is an “international association of great monuments that includes some of the most famous buildings in the world.” After giving his presentation Scott Sauls said: “I was honored to be invited to speak to such a wonderful group of industry experts. ESPACE DU MONDE POLAIRE Espace du Monde Polaire is a new leisure and exhibition center in the east of France, which will open in early 2017. This amazing cultural center will offer leisure activities along with exhibitions on the Arctic and Antarctic, and will highlight issues related to climate change. About 50,000 to 70,000 guests are expected each year, and IREC is pleased to be involved with this important project by providing the ticketing and access control solution. Espace du Monde Polaire will open with an optimal system provided by IREC, part of the Best Union Group. The solution will include the implementation of GTS V5, and will consist of four ticketing POS stations, two retail shop POS stations, one reservation station and an access control system with access gate.

PRINCE ALBERT II OLYMPIC POOL The Olympic-sized swimming pool in the Principality of Monaco, the Prince Albert II, where international competitions can be filmed under water, has been refurbished in order to continue providing these leading technologies to the public. And IREC, part of the Best Union Group, has been retained to set up ten access control points, a ticket vending machine, six booking stations and five retail shop POS stations in order to support a projected increase in visitor numbers. The equipment has now been installed and GTS V5 is expected to be launched in early 2017.

THE GRAND MUSÉE DU PARFUM IN PARIS IREC, part of the Best Union Group, is busy preparing for the opening of the Grand Musée du Parfum in Paris, and will provide a ticketing solution for this innovative project. The solution provided by IREC will include two ticketing POS stations, a reservation station and the IREC access control system. This ambitious project is a perfect opportunity for IREC to implement their online sales system, GAT 3, and to interface with various online ticket distributors. Visitors of this new museum, established on the well-known rue du Faubourg Saint Honoré, will have the opportunity to discover the perfume creation process and the power of scent through an interactive tour.

CITY OF PARIS DIRECTORATE OF YOUTH AND SPORTS SELECT THE IREC SOLUTION For a dozen years the City of Paris has trusted IREC, part of the Best Union Group, to equip all their museums and swimming pools with the GTS V5 solution. Most recently the Directorate of Youth and Sports in Paris decided to install ticket vending machines at some of their swimming-pools, and IREC has been chosen again to be part of the project. IREC’s recognized expertise enabled the innovative design of equipment, and now 26 ticket vending machines with barcode and RFID technology will be installed in May 2017.

CITÉ DE L’ÉCONOMIE ET DE LA MONNAIE Initiated by the Bank of France, the Cité de l’Economie et de la Monnaie in Paris will be open to the public in 2018 as an attraction for tourists who are interested in economic issues. About 100.000 tourists are expected each year. This educational project will be supported by the installation of IREC’s GTS V5 solution. IREC, part of the Best Union Group, will provide a solution to manage reservations, ticketing, access control (with barcode and RFID technology) and ticket vending machines (with multi-language interface). All visitors will have the opportunity to buy tickets online and plan their visit in advance thanks to the IREC online sales solution, GAT3.

CITÉ DU CHOCOLAT VALRHONA Located at the site of the historic Valrhona chocolate factory, the Cité du Chocolat, reveals a glimpse behind the scenes to visitors, from harvest to the making of chocolate, throughout a fun and educational course. Since its opening in 2003, 220,000 visitors have already visited the Cité. Recently, in order to better manage the visitor experience, the Cité decided to install IREC’s GTS V5 solution with a powerful access control system, two ticketing POS stations and two booking stations. Tourists can also buy their tickets online thanks to IREC’s online sales solution, GAT 3.

PAULTONS PARK CHOOSE BEST UNION’S BEST OVERVIEW SYSTEM Best Union UK Ltd, has been chosen as a partner by Hampshire-based Paultons Park, one of the UK’s leading Family Theme Parks, to deliver their ongoing ticketing systems requirement and sales solutions. Paultons Family Theme Park has over 70 wonderful rides and attractions for all the family including LOST KINGDOM, an amazing Dinosaur Theme Park World featuring two world-class family rollercoasters, life-like animatronic dinosaurs and Jurassic themed family rides.

For the start of the 2017 season Paultons Park will be using Best Union’s Best Overview System (BOS), enabling real time ticket management with the assurance that high volume sales are handled efficiently through one central system. BOS will also be integrated with the on-Park EPOS system and with systems of other third party partners.

Paultons is also home to the world’s first and UK exclusive Peppa Pig World in which youngsters can discover Peppa’s World in nearly 3 acres of fully themed fun. Via delle Tre Fontane, 100 - Roma Ha riaperto i battenti, dopo 8 anni, il parco Luneur di Roma (fino al 1998 ininterrottamente aperto dal 1953), interamente ristrutturato e riammodernato, con un nuovo modello di intrattenimento che lo porta a essere un incrocio fra i tradizionali luna park e i parchi a tema.

L’elasticità del sistema TMaster ha consentito di rispondere brillantemente alle innovazioni richieste dal management del parco.

Per la gestione degli ingressi e delle attrazioni, il parco, che si sviluppa all’interno del quartiere EUR di Roma coprendo un’area di oltre 7 ettari di attrazioni e piante esotiche, ha scelto TMaster, il sistema di biglietteria e controllo accessi recentemente acquisito da Best Union Company. Il modello Luneur è piuttosto singolare, almeno nel panorama dei parchi in Italia poiché prevede, oltre al biglietto d’ingresso, la fruizione delle attrazioni attraverso punti e ricariche del braccialetto consegnato agli utenti all’ingresso.

Sin dall’apertura, Luneur sta facendo registrare il “tutto esaurito” in ogni week end, e gran parte dei biglietti viene venduta in prevendita su internet e tramite App - così stimolando il management del parco e di Best Union Company a studiare, a poche settimane dall’inaugurazione, ulteriori soluzioni per ottimizzare la fruizione del parco, già dalla fase di prenotazione del biglietto di accesso. I MUSEI CIVICI DI FIRENZE HANNO SCELTO TMASTER È iniziata l’8 novembre la nuova gestione della biglietteria e del controllo accessi dei Musei Civici Fiorentini, il circuito di musei di Firenze composto da Palazzo Vecchio, il Museo Novecento, il Museo di Santa Maria Novella, la Cappella Brancacci, il Museo Stefano Bardini, la Fondazione Salvatore Romano e diversi altri musei minori nella città di Firenze. Già gestita con il sistema TLite, la biglietteria dei Musei Civici Fiorentini è ora gestita dal sistema di TMaster, integrato al sistema di controllo accessi, alla vendita on-line con CMS dedicato, e ai Totem Self Service cittadini. Nella città di Firenze sono già operativi una decina di Totem Self Service, alcuni dei quali già attivi come punti vendita anche per il Teatro dell’Opera di Firenze (che da tempo utilizza il sistema TMaster).

Prevede infatti biglietti “open”, biglietti a fasce orarie, abbonamenti fissi, e tessere cittadine a validità temporale limitata. A breve, in collaborazione con il Comune di Firenze e le associazioni degli albergatori e degli esercenti, è previsto lo sviluppo di punti informativi presso gli alberghi, che saranno così in grado fornire il servizio di prevendita per i musei e i teatri di Firenze. Quello di Firenze rappresenta un valido banco di prova per l’avvio di un modello di sistema cittadino integrato, evoluto e di facile fruizione, in grado di gestire grandi flussi di turisti.

La fruizione dei musei è particolarmente eterogenea. 18

La stagione 2016-2017 del Teatro Auditorium Manzoni di Bologna è iniziata all’insegna della qualità musicale senza confini, sotto la pluriennale direzione artistica del Maestro Giorgio Zagnoni.

Sul palco si incroceranno i passi di tango di Miguel Angel Zotto e Daiana Guspero con le punte del Balletto dell’Opera Nazionale di Odessa.

La musica - senza esclusione di generi o stili - è la grande protagonista, e duetta con la danza, la letteratura, le arti visive, la recitazione. La stagione 2016-17 è dedicata ai grandi Maestri dell’800 e del ‘900, interpretati da direttori d’orchestra e solisti di fama internazionale: Mikhail Pletnev, Khatia Buniatishvili, Pietari Inkinen, Ziyu He, John Neschling, Nicholas Angelich, Giorgio Zagnoni, Hirofumi Yoshida, Daniel Lozakovich, Georges Prêtre, Mischa Damev.

The Puppini Sisters celebreranno il Natale e i Simple Minds si esibiranno in un concerto acustico dedicato a tutti gli appassionati della band icona, artefice di alcuni dei brani più innovativi e duraturi della storia della musica rock. Inoltre l’Auditorium ha da poco ospitato la performance del tenore di fama mondiale Juan Diego Flòrez, in una delle sue pochissime date in Europa, dando ampia visibilità e importanza alla struttura bolognese.

COSMOFOOD 2016: LA CUCINA FA SPETTACOLO Cala il sipario alla Fiera di Vicenza su Cosmofood 2016. La nuova Arena Eventi affollata durante gli show cooking è la cartolina di questa edizione a cui hanno partecipato 450 aziende e più di 40.000 visitatori in quattro giorni di apertura.

E proprio la grande affluenza di operatori del settore ha confermato la vocazione professionale di Cosmofood, i cui padiglioni dedicati alle attrezzature per la ristorazione sono stati costantemente gremiti.

"L'Arena Eventi - spiega Mauro Grandi, direttore di Cosmofood - è stata una scommessa che oggi possiamo decisamente dire di aver vinto. Lorenzo Cogo, Giuliano Baldessari, Chiara Maci e Ernst Knam sono stati i quattro ospiti principali che l'hanno animata.
