The magnificent residence of the sixteenth-centur y Palazzo Grimani in Venice, recently renovated, is hosting till 26th January, “La Bella” (“The Beauty”), one of the
most famous works by Titian and a masterpiece of Renaissance painting, on loan from Galleria di Palazzo Pitti in Florence. The painting portrays a lavishly-clad, bejeweled woman on whose identity
modern and ancient critics are divided: a noblewoman, p e r h a p s Eleonora Gonzaga, Duchess of Urbino, or an unknown courtesan?
In fact, according to the latest survey especially in AngloSaxon scholars’ opinion, it seems that the painting is no real portrait of anybody, but an image of feminine idealized beauty. Recently restored by Opificio delle Pietre Dure in Florence, the masterpiece was taken in Venice thanks to a series of exchanges between public museums. The painting Visions by Hieronymus was in fact hosted for a few months at Palazzo Pitti on loan from Palazzo Grimani. The exhibition has been designed by Giulio Manieri Elia and Fausta Navarro and promoted by the Superintendence for the Historical, Artistic and Ethno-
Anthropological Heritage and for the museum complex Polo Museale of the City of Venice and the municipalities in the Gronda lagoon and produced by Venice Academy. The work, located in the so-called Hall of the Tribune, is also accompanied by a series of artworks restored by Opificio delle Pietre Dure, made by Patrizia Reitano with the direction of Marco Ciatti after accurate campaign of scientific investigation.

The 2014 Rock Spring Bologna is enriched with a new and unmissable event for demanding fans. From 30th May to 2nd June, after a year off, Rock in Idro is back. The event is now on its sixth edition , moved from Milan to Bologna.
