Katie Till: Student of the Month

Katie Till has been selected by B&E Sportswear to be our Student of the Month. Her enthusiasm for charitable giving and excellence in and out of school has made her a clear choice for this month’s award. As part of the recognition, Katie will be awarded a $100 gift card from Wawa courtesy of B&E Sportswear.

Katie is currently a student at Cardinal O’Hara High School. She has earned all-Catholic honors in cross country and track, a class executive for student council and is a regular part of the theater program. You could see her running down the streets of Newtown Square, giving back in various charitable organizations around the community or performing on stage at a Cardinal O’Hara production.
Katie is also passionate about giving back to the community and has donated her time and effort toward many different charitable organizations run by or related to Cardinal O’Hara. She has sorted and packaged food at Philabundance and delivered food to the homeless or children in need. She is a leader in the Community Service Corp at Cardinal O’Hara, leading many of these organizations and fundraising activities for various causes The event she takes the most pride in is the Danny Hammond Dance Marathon, a student-run fundraising initiative and 12-hour dance marathon that promotes, among other causes, childhood cancer awareness.

Katie is a great example of what we should all strive for as members of this community. She is hardworking and focused, and takes every opportunity she can to help the people of Newtown Square.
Everyone at Newtown Square Friends & Neighbors sends congratulations to Katie for this recognition, and thanks her for the many contributions she has made to the people in need around her community.
