BE GLOBAL If you have a heart to change the world, to reach the lost, and to partner with God to set the captives free, keep reading. If you believe that distant borders, cultural barriers, language gaps, and politics can’t prevent God from fulfilling His mission to make disciples of all nations, then this is for you. Bethany Global University is the training ground for those who want to take Jesus to the ends of the earth. It is more than a university; it’s a community of like-minded people, who passionately pursue God and the work He has called us to do. Throughout the world there are people who are waiting for help, who are waiting for hope, and who are waiting to meet the One who lives in and works through you. They are waiting for you.

THREE MAJORS – ONE MISSION Bethany Global University is focused on training missionaries to extend God’s kingdom to where it is not. This one mission is accomplished through three distinct majors: 1. Intercultural Ministry Studies: For those who want to pioneer new missions fields, plant churches and be prepared for a variety of ministry opportunities as they come on the ever-changing landscape of missions. Learn how to bridge between culture, language, and world views to help others see the truth. 2. Transformational Entrepreneurship in Missions: For those who want to start business opportunities overseas and use business to bless communities and share the gospel. Learn how to turn ideas into profits, create jobs and have the drive to transform societies for Christ. 3. Education in Missions: For those who love to help children thrive worldwide. This major equips you to teach in a classroom while sharing Christ’s love with the lost. Learn how to use the Montessori method of education to teach children and gain access to communities that need to hear the Gospel. All three unique, but with the following in common: • Double Major: Each include an additional major in Bible & Theology. • Single Minor: Each include a minor in Intercultural Studies. The Intercultural Ministries Studies major has a choice of four minors. • Global Internship: You will spend 16 months overseas doing missions while earning your degree during the junior and senior years. • Local Outreach: During your freshmen and sophomore years, you will participate in a local outreach near BGU’s campus in the Twin Cities. • Practical Training: Get hands-on training working on the Bethany International missions base to gain valuable skills and while earning money towards your tuition. • Tuition-Paid: All three BA degree programs are Tuition-Paid at BGU, which means you do not have to pay out of pocket for tuition.

IMAGINE THIS... You can get an excellent education at many Christian universities and you can even get a bachelors degree in intercultural studies at some of them. However, Bethany Global University is the only accredited missionary training program that combines 16 months of hands-on training overseas with academic coursework to equip you with both the knowledge and the experience you need to make a life long impact. Why is this important? Imagine this… You come to BGU and discover that you have a passion for teaching. You select Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL) for your minor and teach local Somali immigrants English, during your freshman and sophmore years, as you prepare to go overseas. During your junior year, you begin your 16 month Global Internship where you learn how to reach through cultural barriers with the help of your site leaders and online courses. You enjoy ministry and outreach while learning Swahili and spend time getting to know the local people. During your second semester abroad, you begin to teach English to Kenyans and Somalis just like you did back on campus. For your final semester, you arrive back at our Minneapolis campus for a semester of re-entry to debrief, process all you have learned on your Global Internship, and prepare for the next step in your journey.

OTHER PROGRAMS AT BGU Associate of Arts in Intercultural Ministry This program focuses on biblical and theological studies, personal spiritual development, ministry, and missions. The curriculum is similar to what a BA would take prior to the Global Internship. AA students also participate in Practical Training and are also eligible for the Tuition-Paid model. A six to eight week overseas practicum will be required to get a quick idea of what it means to experience and observe another culture. Certificate Programs Through Bethany Global University, you can earn a certificate in Bible & Theology Certificate and/or a certificate in Pre-field Preparation. Both certificate programs are on campus, participate in the Practical Training program, and are eligible for the Tuition-Paid program. Master of Arts Degrees BGU's Masters degrees are designed to help you expand your ministry, grow your confidence, and increase influence in international settings. Each of the degree programs are entirely online and require you to be involved in ministry to apply the curriculum. While they are affordable, these programs are not eligible for the Tuition-Paid program. The three MA degrees consist of Intercultural Ministry Leadership, Intercultural Ministry Studies, and Intercultural Ministry Education.
TUITION AND FEES Bethany does charge tuition; but qualified students will have their tuition paid through a combination of the following: 1. Federal Pell Grant All students who wish to receive the tuition-paid benefit are required to apply annually for Federal Student Aid by completing the FAFSA online. The Pell Grant will be applied toward your tuition cost. 2. Practical Training Tuition Scholarship or the Federal Work College Award All students have a Practical Training assignment in a department on campus. Students who successfully complete the required Practical Training hours receive the Practical Training Tuition Scholarship or Federal Work College Award as compensation. This scholarship/award covers $6,770 of the student’s annual tuition costs. 3. BGU Tuition Scholarship If a student’s tuition costs are not fully covered by the Pell Grant and Practical Training Financial Aid, the BGU Tuition Scholarship covers the remaining tuition balance, no matter how much it is. While your tuition is paid, tuition is not the only cost of college. At BGU, we still have to charge for room, board, and fees, but you will find that they are in line with what most colleges charge (on top of tuition). For comparison, take a look at the college costs comparison graph to the right. Room, Board, and Required Annual Fees These costs are not covered by the Tuition-Paid model. If you or your parents qualify for Federal student loans, they may cover all or part of these costs. • Annual Room & Board: $7,700 • Annual Fees**: $1,500-$2,600 (depending on the program)
