PROJECT ACTIVITY HIGHLIGHTS OUR SAVIOR LUTHERAN CHURCH KEY MILESTONE ACHIEVEMENTS

KEY INSPECTIONS •

Bush Construction, Novak Design Group and all subcontractors/suppliers are successfully using a web-based software called Plan Room for submittal, RFI and meeting minute updates. Footings and foundations at Area A – Gathering Addition were completed last week.

Inspections by the City of Bettendorf Building Department will be conducted as necessary to ensure the building construction is being performed to applicable codes. Terracon is and will be conducting testing/inspection procedures on building compaction, concrete, steel welds and bolt connections.

SAFETY QUALITY CONTROL •

Bush Construction is in constant contact with each trade contractor and all third party inspectors to ensure that performed services and materials adhere to the defined set of quality criteria per the project documents.

Foreman meetings are conducted on site weekly with all foreman working on the project. Safety is the first item discussed at these meetings.

Tool Box Talks are conducted weekly by all prime contractors and second tier subcontractors working onsite.

RECENT ACTIVITY •

Sanitary sewer connections were made to the existing sewer lines that now exit through the city sewer rather than the old septic tank. Area B – Classroom Addition soil has been stripped and back-filled with rock and is ready for footing excavations to begin. New storm sewer piping has begun at Area B which connects to roof drains at Area A and Area B additions Structural steel was delivered and erected at Area A. Precast panels are being delivered Monday 8/7 and the remaining structural steel will be set shortly after precast is installed. The stained glass window at the front of the church was cut down so the roofing can tie into the building. Brick infill is scheduled to take place this week.

KEY SCHEDULE MILESTONES • •

Both building additions are projected to be complete by March 2018. The renovation space, planned for summer of 2018, is projected to be complete by September 2018.

Window W-30 was shortened for new roof tie-in. There will be brick infill from existing brick to bottom of window.

New sanitary tie in location. The Septic tank is gone.
