Fragrance Sensitivity We have a number of individuals in our church who have a sensitivity to perfumes and fragrances. When someone wears a lot of perfume, it can be very irritating to a person’s sinuses and asthmatic condition. We are asking our church congregation to be sensitive to not wear strong perfumes or best yet, to go fragrance free.
Tokens Of What Is To Come Pastor Tim Gibb
In Luke’s Gospel, chapter one, we have the account of the angelic visitations to the priest Zacharias (wife Elizabeth) and to Mary, along with the miraculous conceptions of John the Baptist and our Lord Jesus. Luke chapter one is a transitional chapter where God is transitioning from the Old Covenant (Old Testament) to a new and better Covenant (New Testament). It is the initiation of a new season. A time when now instead of the Holy Spirit coming upon only select kings and priests, we will now have a kingdom of priests and the Holy Spirit, through the cleansing power of the blood of Christ, will empower all believers. God initiates this new season with a prophetic announcement, through His angelic messenger, to the priest Zacharias. God always begins everything He does with His Word. John 1… In the beginning was the Word. The Word always comes first and then eventually the full manifestation. The Word given to Zacharias was that he would have a son and this son, John the Baptist, would prepare the Way for the coming Christ. What is interesting is that God begins to release tokens of what is to come. These are indicators of the greater - the full manifestation. The Bible says in Luke 41 that when Mary greeted Elizabeth, Elizabeth was filled with the Holy Spirit. Not only that, but the baby inside Elizabeth leaped in her womb. Now this is before Pentecost. This is before the Cross. This is before Acts 2. This is before the full enactment of the New
Covenant. God was releasing tokens (signs, indicators) of what was to come. In 2007, God spoke to my heart in prayer and said to me “What is Bethel doing to prepare for the nations?” God spoke to me that Bethel Sarnia would be an international church with an international reach. In a vision I saw flags of the nations in our Sanctuary. In response, for a season, we hung flags on the front wall of the Sanctuary. At that time, who would really think of Sarnia as a place for an international church vision and reach? Then in 2010, Lambton college began to bring international students to Sarnia. We have been so blessed to be able to have a good number of them as a part of the ministry of Bethel. Then this past month, we had Evangelist Nathan Morris. We had not only people attend the services from places like Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Prince Edward Island, Ohio, Michigan, New York; but we had online viewers from Mexico, Brazil, India, Columbia, Ukraine, Australia, and more. As well, Lydia Marrow recorded her 3rd worship CD and first worship CD for Shake the Nations ministries. It was recorded LIVE right in our church services with Lindell Cooley (former worship Pastor of the Brownsville Revival) as the executive producer. This worship CD, which will be entitled ‘You are Worthy of It All’, with the worship of our house will literally go around the world.
Ed Dickson “just happened” to be in Canada and was present for our Encounter services. Bethel is now working with Nathan Morris and Ed Dickson to help facilitate a major outreach crusade in 2015 in the capital city of Kiev, Ukraine. What is God doing?
I believe that God is releasing, into the house of Bethel Church, tokens of the Word He gave that Bethel would be an International church with an International reach. And I believe the greater is yet to come! Be encouraged Bethel! God is responding to our prayers and let’s set our faith for the greater yet to come! From my family to yours, have a wonderful blessed Christmas season,
Pastor Tim Gibb
