MAKE BIBLE READING A PRIORITY IN 2019 Here are some Bible reading programs we reccomend in assisting you in your Bible reading in 2019.
THE BIBLE PROJECT WWW.THEBIBLEPROJECT.COM 2019 will be the Year of the Bible at Bethel. Now we like to think that every year is the year of the Bible as we are committed to the priority of the preaching and teaching of the Word of God. This year, our focus will not just be on understanding and proclaiming the message of the Bible, but on the Bible itself. Throughout 2019, we will be providing different Sunday message series, along with mid-week study groups, that will focus on understanding the Bible as a whole and on why we believe the Bible is the Word of God. For example: 2 Courses: In January & February we are offering the course “How to Read the Bible for all its worth.” This 7 week course (beginning Wednesday January 23 at 7:15PM) will help you gain a greater familiarity and appreciation for the Bible as a whole, on the different writing styles in the Bible and how to correctly interpret the Bible. In March we will be offering a 13 week course (beginning March 27th) on “The Historical Reliability of the Gospels” which will cover such topics as: Who wrote the Gospels? When were they actually written? What about contradictions? And Archeology and Non-Christian evidence for Jesus. Sundays: Beginning in February, Pastor Tim will present an overview of both the Old and New Testaments. Then in March and April, Pastor Tim will deal with topics such as: Evidence for the Bible as the Word of God, How the New Testament came to be? What about manuscript errors? On Sunday nights we will be looking at “Seeing Jesus in the Old Testament.” As we continue in 2019, other message series will be presented that will cover “The Bible and Cultural Issues today” and “The Bible and Prophecy”. We trust that this focus in 2019 and the various teachings and studies will provide for you a greater love and appreciation for the Word of God, and to be able to strengthen your faith.

A ministry that encourage believers to read/ discover God’s Word. They do this through short animation videos (not child cartoons, but more graphic novel type animation). The videos are meant to describe books/ authors/themes in the Bible so the reader can have a better understanding of the scripture they are reading. A helpful resource for teens/young adults or those newer to the faith.
HE READS TRUTH / SHE READS WWW.HEREADSTRUTH.COM WWW.SHEREADSTRUTH.COM
A ministry that creates Bible reading plans and devotionals to accompany - you can access them free online, for a small fee on their app or you can order a physical book. Their reading plans either take you through a book of the Bible or a theme (Advent, etc.). You can read their current plan and join an online community (Instagram/Facebook) or access previous plans. They also have incredible resources for kids - so as a family you can all be doing the same Bible plan, but have different devotionals. Pastor Tricia: “This is what I use and I love it.”
YOUVERSION APP They will send you a verse everyday… good for scripture memorization. There are also devotionals available for free in their app, so you pick a devotional and get both Bible reading and an accompanying devotional. Can also do online at www.bible.com
