MARGARET GIBB CELEBRATES 50 YEARS OF MINISTRY A celebration was held on Thursday, April 27th at the Crossroads Centre (home of the 100 Huntley Street television broadcast) to honour Pastor Tim & Tricia Gibb’s mother, Margaret Gibb in recognition of her 50 years of Christian ministry. Distinguished presenters and guests included: Brian Stiller (Global Ambassador of the World Evangelical Alliance), Jim Cantelon (Host of TV show Jim Cantelon Today), Lorna Dueck (CEO of Crossroads Christian
Communications Inc.) Ruth Ann Onley (wife of former Lieutenant Governor of Ontario from 2007 until 2014, David Onley), Rev. David Shepherd (former Western Ontario District Superintendent), Dr. Michael Middlebrook (Pastor of Bethel Hamilton) and many others. Video greetings were also shown from Pastors and leaders from around the world, along with a video greeting from David Wells, General Superintendent of the Pentecostal Assemblies of Canada. Rev. Dan DiSabatino presented Margaret with a plaque from the Western Ontario District of PAOC in honour for her 50 years of ministry service. Pastor Tim Gibb and Tricia Gibb also made speeches to honour their mother and to share some fun stories over the years. The evening was also to share in the vision of Margaret’s ministry, Women Together, and to raise funds, as part of the ministry of Women Together, to provide scholarships for young women to get their Bachelor degree in Biblical studies in India,
Kenya and Brazil. It was a fabulous night of honouring an inspirational woman and to learn more about the ministry she is leading. Margaret’s life story is featured in a new book entitled: Faith Life and Leadership: 8 Canadian Women Tell Their Stories.
