STUDENT HANDBOOK COLLEGE OF ARTS & SCIENCES 2020–2021

CAS Student Handbook 2020–2021 The Bethel University College of Arts & Sciences Student Handbook contains important information enrolled students need to know, including guidance on student conduct and disciplinary processes. Students are responsible to read and abide by the policies and university standards contained in this digital student handbook. Students are advised to review the handbook each year and as needed for important and new information they are expected to know. While the policies and standards outlined in the handbook provide students with an effective set of guidelines for personal conduct, the university retains the right to enact additional policies and regulations, correct errors, or modify existing policies as it determines. This updated digital handbook supersedes and replaces all previously published and/or online versions of the Bethel CAS Student Handbook. All policies and practices described in this handbook are subject to change without prior notice. Any amendments, revisions, additions, or deletions to this handbook will be made available at bethel.edu/ undergrad/student-life/community/handbook or through other means. New or modified policies are effective immediately unless otherwise noted.

WELCOME TO STUDENT LIFE AT BETHEL UNIVERSITY The Office of Student Life is committed to providing opportunities for you to deepen your relationship with Jesus as you live in community with others. Whether it’s attending student activities or interacting in the Residence Halls, on the athletic fields, or in the dining center, we know that the Lord will use this place to teach you more about who He created you to be. Our Student Life staff seeks to serve you by getting to know you during your time at Bethel. We believe the Lord has brought you to Bethel so that you can learn more about Him, more about being in relationship with others, and more about being a leader for Christ in this world. We are here for you—please seek us out. May the Lord bless and guide you during your college years. Miranda Powers M.A. LPC Associate Vice President of Student Life
