ALISON & JOHN June 2017 DESIGN TEASE
Beth Helmstetter Events
PALETTE Feminine palette of blush, peach, lavendar with a bit of natural greens, grays for an earthy balance to the old world glam that tones of champagne and hotel silver will bring to the day.
BOUQUET & BOUTONNIERES Alison’s bouquet to be filled with dahlias, garden roses and baby blooms in shades of blush, peaches, sepia tones and ivory.
WELCOME DRINKS Guests to be greeted with lemonade styled with fresh blooms, lemons and then served in mason jars
WELCOME DETAILS Sunglasses and Family Sign will add a bit of Alison and John’s personality to the day.
CEREMONY A floral covered chuppah using dahlias, hydrangea, garden roses and moments of greenery. Surrounding the altar I recommend urns of blooms on wood stands which would then be used on the dinner tables as centerpieces. The finished product wouldn’t be as lush as this exact image and would have more greenery.
INSPIRATION SKETCH Inspired by previous structure but smaller and less packed including moments of green
CEREMONY Alternative chuppah option for budget savings which would be beautiful with the white chairs
AISLE Shephard’s hooks with small coordinating arrangements and mini lanterns would be placed down the aisle and repurposed in the dessert area later in the evening. Wood for the aisle to be a lighter wood as shown in smaller image.
COCKTAIL HOUR Guests greeted with rose or sparkling rose at cocktail hour. Sugared gold rim could be lovely but not necessary. Soft pink or peach linens tied with a garland for a charming touch. Appetizers to be tray passed on vintage wood trays in gold and sage for a romantic, old world feel
COCKTAIL HOUR BLOOMS Hotel silver filled with garden blooms in shades of blush, peach, lavender and fresh herbs
CENTERPIECES A mix of high and low centerpieces throughout the room, repurposing the florals from the ceremony
LINENS & CHARGERS A champagne overlay accented with a gold rim charger would add a bit of sophistication to the otherwise soft, pretty room
LINENS & CHARGERS Alternatively a lovely champagne linen with a subtle floral pattern with a light peach toned wood charger would be beautiful as well
TABLE DETAILS Table numbers on vintage mirrors, a dinner menu inspired by the invitation at each place setting and each guest to be greeted with a small bloom
CHANDELIERS If budget allows, florals on the chandeliers would be lovely. Blooms to coordinate with rest of the palette but heavier on greens and just moments of blooms.
ICE CREAM CAKE & PARLOR INSPIRED DISPLAY Ice Cream Cake displayed on a vintage cordial cart for a sweet moment and then surrounded by a display at mutiple heights included potentially a vintage ice cream cart or shelf styled with a variety of ice cream options and hot chocolate along with a sign acknowledging Alison’s grandmother.
