Meet Our Members
The Ehrlichs’ BT connection predates their officially joining the synagogue. Whitney not only attended Hebrew school and celebrated her Bat Mitzvah at Beth Jacob, but her family were members at Winands Road Synagogue, where she and Todd married. As both of those synagogues are now part of the BT family, Whitney believes that “it is beshert that we are at BT!”
Todd and Whitney Ehrlich and family
P.EVER!
Whitney and Todd Ehrlich first joined the BT community when their daughter, Dorie, started kindergarten at BT. “We were immediately welcomed into the BT community and befriended by so many families!” Whitney said. “We met many families who had children the same ages as our children, and all the family-friendly events at BT led to easy friendships,” she added. Whitney, who teaches one of BT PreSchool’s 4’s classes, and Todd, a mathematician for the Department of Defense, took the next step and joined BT shul last year. They often found themselves here at BT for Shabbat, thanks to their daughters Dorie and Ariyel. “All of our children’s friends, and many of the families we had become close to, are at BT and we just couldn’t

PS MEZUZAH: Morah Jessica and Morah Yimei’s 2’s had the special privilege of hanging a new mezuzah on their classroom doorpost, with help from Rabbi Eli Yoggev, who explained the mitzvah to the children.
CHUMASH PROGRAM: Mazal tov to our second grade students on receiving their first chumashim — and to their families and teachers, who made this momentous day possible. Todah rabbah — thank you! — to Mrs. Deborah and Mr. Searle Mitnick, who endowed the second grade's Chumash Program. Their generous gift provided the resources for both the program and the chumashim for many future generations of BT second grade students.
LASER PRINTED LUCHOT: How were the Ten Commandments written on the luchot (tablets)? Seventh grade students created 3D laser-printed luchot in the STEM Center to demonstrate one of the four methods they learned in Talmud class, as well as the scaled down dimensions of the tablets.
GIRLS VARSITY BASKETBALL: The Girls Varsity Basketball team went 3-2 and came in 2nd in SAR High School's David Cooper Memorial Tournament, falling to the host school in the final on Saturday night. They recently topped Berman Hebrew Academy, 46-23 and Charles E. Smith Jewish Day School, 52-29.

NEW BACKSTROKE RECORD: Senior Jack L. ‘19 set a new school record in the Men’s 100 meter backstroke, which was previously set by his brother, BT alum Liam ‘17.
