Beth Tfiloh is blessed with a thriving and engaged community. With close to 1,000 students enrolled in Beth Tfiloh Dahan Community School and nearly 1,300 Beth Tfiloh Congregation member families, the depth and breadth of BT’s impact on its families — and the greater Baltimore community — is extraordinary. Equally extraordinary is the generosity of Beth Tfiloh community members like you, who make our school and shul possible.

The Torah teaches us that making Jewish education financially accessible is a communal responsibility, not just a parental obligation. At BT, we count on our entire community’s charitable support of the Annual Campaign to close the budget gap. School tuition fees and congregation membership dues provide Beth Tfiloh’s financial foundation. However, BT relies on philanthropic support to truly flourish. Combined with the school and synagogue’s respective endowments funds, your Annual Campaign support and other philanthropic options strengthen that foundation.

The Annual Campaign is a Beth Tfiloh community-wide effort that raises money from all constituencies within our BT family: school parents, grandparents, alumni and their parents, faculty and staff, shul members, and other friends of BT. We ask each member of the BT family to make a gift to the Annual Campaign; in turn, the Annual Campaign supports all areas of BT: our facilities, programs, technology, and personnel.

In the spring of 2020, Beth Tfiloh was forced to shut down its building in response to COVID-19. We were uniquely positioned to transform our educational program into a virtual academy for students. Similarly, our shul quickly reinvented itself virtually by providing for the spiritual, educational, and social needs of our synagogue families. We were able to adapt to this new virtual world because of your investment in BT’s Annual Campaign.

Your gift helped us to expand our technological resources, programs, and professional development to ensure as seamless a transition as possible. While our school, and in modified fashion our shul community, are enjoying school and services “In Real Life,” we are equipped to transition back into a fully virtual environment if necessary with as minimal disruption as possible.
