We had to redesign the concept for the brand to open a new store. The challenge was to modify the concept without changing it completely. The store shows different brands for outdoor and urban clothes. Therefore, the design had to reflect this. We proposed a set of materials in order to separate areas and brands. Brick for urban and wood for outdoor. We proposed new layout and new furniture for footwear and fitting room. We worked as a team in the development of the project from concept to construction. I developed detail drawings, the design of new furniture for the store according to new needs, and I did the supervision of architecture in the construction site. 3D Modelling and image edition by Enzo Sierra. Software: Rhino + 3DMax, AutoCAD, Photoshop.

Architecture and interior design of the Hotel 286’s extension, developed to be a complement to it, by providing more rooms and services such as restaurant, pool, and others. The connection with the existing Hotel 286 is made by a roofed corridor at the back of each building. In this project, we design the furniture inside each room. Also, we worked in the design of the facade, which has a mesh that provides shade to the interior. It was developed in a couple under the guidance of CONSTRACTA’s Director. We worked together in each fase of the project sharing tasks and resposibilities. Specifically I was in charged of the layout design of rooms, 3D modeling and image edition. Software: SketchUp + Vray, AutoCAD, Photoshop.

Remodeling of a 3-story apartment in which we developed the interior architecture, including the selection and design of furniture. We create cozy spaces that take advantage of the views of the Caracas valley and fit the client’s needs. The entrance of the apartment is on the 2nd floor where you can find social spaces. The 1st floor is a more private zone (bedrooms) and on the 3rd floor, we proposed an entertainment area with a great balcony with views towards the city. We both work together and share rsponsibilities during the development of project and I was in charge of 3D modeling, image edition, and design of bespoke furniture. During construction, we participate in the supervision of architecture, selection of materials and furniture with the client. Software: SketchUp + Vray, AutoCAD, Photoshop.

Remodeling of a 2-story apartment, where we developed the interior architecture. The challenge was to give a new look by keeping the furniture. We did some changes to fit the new needs of the client. The marble floor remained, but we proposed new finishes and wall designs that define spaces and make a harmonious space. On the 2nd floor, we proposed a social area (pool and tv area) that takes advantage of the views from the balconies, and we also create a cozy and fresh area with a green-wall. We both worked in the design of layout and I developed the design details of the new finishes, design of bespoke furniture, and 3D modeling. Software: SketchUp + Vray, AutoCAD, Photoshop.

In this project, we developed the interior architecture and design of exhibition furniture for a mobile repair store (118m2). It has a modern and sober design using OSB wood, steel and glass on the modules for each brand. The challenge in this project was to distribute the spaces required by the client in the triangular space. We tried to distribute the program (spaces) in the best possible way to use the space optimally. We developed the detail drawings for architecture and the design of special furniture to fit the needs of the client. We both worked in the 3D modelling and image edition. Software: SketchUp + Vray, AutoCAD, Photoshop.

The main idea behind this project was to make a space where people can get involved with books. I create a place where people can read, talk, and share books while meeting others. It is a coffee shop where books are the main elements. It contains an area for exposition and lectures, a reading zone, and a restaurant area. The use of wood and polished concrete is proposed in order to create a cozy place and to differentiate zones. It also has a terrace in the outside and walls can be written with passages from books. I developed the concept for this place and proposed materials, light, and furniture. I design some of the furniture that has to be specially made for the space. Also worked in the 3D modelling, architecture drawings and image edition. Software: SketchUp + Vray, AutoCAD, Photoshop.

jan-march 2010 Tacagua, Caracas Design 09. BArch (USB) 12 weeks
It is a metropolitan exchange space that includes a public transport terminal and a commercial zone. It is the door to Tacagua’s suburb and a connection point with the city of Caracas. I proposed 4 tunnels (3 pedestrians and 1 vehicular) under the highway, in order to overcome the barrier created by it and to help in the connectivity of this place with the city. Also, I proposed a park along the highway. This way people can enjoy the views from the valley of Tacagua and use this park as a meeting point and public space that they do not currently have. Software: SketchUp, AutoCAD, Photoshop.

This community center is located in a popular area of Caracas city. The project proposes a central public square, as a meeting point, around which the other spaces are organized. It provides community services such as public dining, shelter, bathrooms, among others. The project has different levels in order to fit the sloping ground. The public dining is located on the mid level, near the road and the public square; the shelter is located on the lowest level, and the public offices are on the upper floor. The model was made by hand with paperboard and wooden sticks. The blueprints were made by hand with ink pencil and markers on transparent vegetable parchment.

The idea of this project starts with a space exploration (folding parallelepiped structure) which functions as origin idea. Then, this structure transforms into a developed project when it is placed in a real context (Caracas). In this project, I had to adapt some things from the original structure to give form to a building that adapts to its context and provides the program needed. It has simple and double high exhibition rooms, a restaurant, and a shop. It provides a pleasant path through the exhibition rooms along the building. The model was made by hand with paperboard and wooden sticks. The blueprints were made by hand with ink pencil and markers on transparent vegetable parchment. Software: SketchUp.

Located in the National Reserve “Altos de Lircay. This project offers accommodations, food, entertainment, guided tours, and others. We proposed platforms at various levels and a green roof to take advantage of the views of the forest. This is the main structure and first stop of a network of trails. From here you can initiate the travel into the mountains and landscapes of this National Reserve. The form of this shelter is made with the idea to integrate with its context and be part of the existing landscape. We worked together in the design concept and layout of the shelter. I specifically developed the drawing plans and image edition. Software: Revit, AutoCAD, Photoshop.
