GENERAL PROGRAM INFORMATION - The Associates Degree Plan is recommended for all Horse Science students who are not currently gainfully employed in the Horse Industry. The Associates of Science Degree Plan includes 39 Units within the Horse Science Major. Some units can also be used to satisfy General Education requirements. General Education plans vary depending on your academic and career goals. Those planning transfer to a 4-year institution must complete specific G.E. AND Major transfer requirements under CSU or IGETC. If you already have or are currently working on an Associates or Bachelors degree from any accredited college in another major, you can receive a Horse Science Associates Degree without repeating the G.E. requirement even if your degree did not meet the current requirements. There are three General Education Plans approved by LACCD - See General Catalog and Counseling for details. This information was gathered in fall 2017 to facilitate your efforts.
