Fees & Conditions Summer Class Locations

Fees

1. North San Juan Community Resource Center - 509 E. Earling (Nolana) Rd. - San Juan 2. San Juan Municipal Park - 506 W. Bus. 83 - San Juan 3. PSJA High School - 805 W. Ridge Rd. - San Juan

Fees for our programs vary from $30-$50 unless specified. There will be a $10 addition for non-residents. Checks should be made out to City of San Juan. A $25 service charge will be assessed for all returned checks.

Registration

Cancellations & Transfers

Registration for all classes will be at the San Juan Parks & Recreation Office located at 316 E. 8th St. in San Juan (see map) from May 18th through June 5th, between the hours of 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Class space is limited, so please register early!

The San Juan Parks & Recreation Department retains the privilege to cancel any scheduled activity that fails to generate minimum interest. There is a minimum of 10 students per class to keep the class from closing. Fees will not be refunded unless classes are canceled. An option will be offered to transfer to other classes in the event of cancelled classes where space is available.

Indoor ARTS & CRAFTS

This fun class will teach to create-a-card, work on masks, fun felt figures, mobiles, paper kites and other fun projects. BAKING CLASS

We have created a fun, safe way for children to learn how to bake cookies, cupcakes, as well as homemade frosting! DANCE

Want to share your passion of dancing with other people? Well now is your chance. The dance class will bring you one step closer to your dancing dream. In this class you will learn different styles of dancing from Hip-Hop, Modern, Lyrical, and others. DRAMA

BALLET

Young dancers will learn rhythm and coordination in this introduction to ballet. This is a fun class in which children will experience the joy of dance

CHEERLEADING

KARATE

Students will learn a variety of chants, cheer, yells, jumps and etiquette necessary to be a good cheerleader. Participants will also learn the importance of this activity at sporting events.

This class is an introduction to the art of Karate which teaches students discipline, responsibility, self defense, control and respect. Outdoor T-BALL

This class will teach students the basic fundamentals of T-Ball. The fundamentals of soccer will be taught in this class as well as rules & regulations. Students will learn to enhance their kicking, dribbling and passing skills. TRACK & FIELD FOR BOYS & GIRLS

Kids will be able to participate in track meets as well as be able to qualify for the games of Texas. BOY & GIRLS STRENGTH & CONDITIONING Proper conditioning techniques will be taught along with specialized skills appropriate for development of all sports: SOCCER, FOOTBALL, VOLLEYBALL, BASKETBALL, TRACK & FIELD.

TENNIS

Give your kids an early start in tennis. This class is designed to teach the fundamentals of the sport. Kids will be able to qualify for the Games of Texas. Students must provide their own rackets.
