Main Connection Art Avenue Try to connect these two different sides with an “Art Avenue, between new and old, present and past ,that will connect the different age of students from junior to senior. It provides a good information platform for all students, learning from each other while playing.
Studies and Activities have been seperated, aviod inteference.
Buildings are placed transversely side by side, a vertical corridor of art connected each other.
Buildings created open space between each other, release some space to connect with the green.
Offices are placed in three divided areas, guarding the children, while the main staff office is in the middle part of the campus. The route for the vistors settled along the art avenue, and the offices are near by every spot that is opened for the vistors. Playing field is available after students are off school.

Healing Path Crematorium
A crematorium has be seen as a place with a strong function, but it actually is the most miserable place, where we said good bye to the loved ones. This design is no longer just a building without emotion, but a saint place guides you through all the processes, and calm down our sorrow for the lost by its divine atmosphere. And the path will be a one way ticket to be healed.

People like to spend their leisure time bathing in the conventional atmosphere and getting far away from the urban area. Generally, the site can be divided into 7 different types of areas, which are Undeveloped area, Residential area, Parks, Fish Farm, School, First-class protected historical site, Public cemetery. The target site is surrounded by park, with the public cemetery in the near north-east. Anping, well- known as their historical buildings and old alley, this district is full of culture and memories of the old times, it’s a place that allow us to remember the past. It is a same concept for a crematorium, create a place to send their love ones away, and remember them while watching the sun sets under the Aping Harbor at the west.

Group of Isolated Buildings
Working is the way everybody does to earn money for living ,it can also help you gain self satisfation, and once it does, you will undoubtly work even harder. Most people spend 8 hours a day to work, it’s almost 3/4 a day time, but life is more than just work, it’ll only makes you live by your own. Nowadays, companys eagerly want to help co-workers to go out there and meet others , communicate with others, by throwing parties or held events and so on.
Symbolyze of Connecting and Sharing
Connecting each other by public space, park, balcony. creat more horizontal interaction.
In our design ,we’d like to connect isolated buildings, people no longer work only in just one space, it’ll help gain more chance to meet others, exchange working information. We want to create more than just work, make our working hours be extremly used.
Release all the empty,non-using office space
Replace by required residential space
Back to the Natural Future Human make our one and only earth sick, with these numberous polution, plants and other animal can barely live any more.Lots of species extincted, biodiversity is also decreasing, even human has thier own crisis, typhoon, tsunami and hurricane came to take away live. What we want to do ,is that we live back to the natural future, return nature space to whom we owed,we don’t live on earth, but live “together” on earth.
As the time goes by old structure had been slowly removed. Work space came out from box office , begins to prefer open nature spaces
As the old buildings decayed , and here goes the new type of buildings.
Negative Urban Pattern The urban pattern changes through out time. The ordinary lattice pattern, due to a series of means and proper reason, the urban pattern has reversed, became negative. This natural formed new building type is like a big play ground ,we return the space that we borrowed from nature ,now we truly lived with them.

By 2030, old buildings will release more spaces for public use.
During 2014,new service core and residential space would be add in program, and start to re-define the use of work space.
In 2050, the old buildings start to decay through out time, and the new platform system begin to construct it’s own structure.
By the near future, the old buildings would be totally replaced by the new builgind system.

This work shop gave us a chance to learn the whole set of Computer numerical control ,from designing, producing, to installing ,including wood crafting and instruction manual editing. The process was like the internal part procedrue of Ikea before marketing, instead we used CNC, it has the potential to create a new ways to manufaturing products, and even self -fabricating architectural products in the near future.

The conpect to create the shelves
First, we studied 4 posibility ways of building type to remain the form of voronoi.
Structure Analyze The Voronoi structure testing This bookshelf was designed by the concept of Voronoi ,which structure has been accurrately caculated by senior students. We took over this project to build it in the scale of 1:1 , with wood materials by operating CNC. For the first time to operate CNC and using the 2cm block wood, we took a lesson of CNC and also visit the wood factory to learn the feature of the material . After cutting ,how to machining it to something can be used is also a new challenge for us. In this case, we have learnt not only the tecnique of CNC but the process of completing a wood-made furniture , we all found pleasure in it.
One-Piece

Tenon -Tenons contacts broads
We choose One-piece and Tenon these 2 types of system continue to build, and take a little part to experiment its strength. We learnt how to fit the latch tenon and mortise perfectly , with the same depth of them and a longer length of the fillet mortise by using hammer to knock it in, it will be perfectly fit without slipping out.

Before operating CNC, we have a lot of work to do ,all elements for the bookshelf need to be coding, and fit in “180 * 120 cm” block wood which is the limitation of the machine.

Due to the massive little piece of elements, Pre-coding can help us find the correct one to assemble ,leading to less incorrect installment, it was a important process, which can never be neglected.

Tenon System We began to design the details for both 2 systems. For Tenon System, we classified it into Voronoi boxes and Fibrosis boxes due to its sizes and its limits for the latch, therefore, they will be treated differently.

One-Piece Stacking System
=
For One-Piece Stacking System, we use 20 layers of the 2cm block wood to reach its depth. They were divided into 2 types of layer, Vertical and Horizonzal Segmentations. In this way, they will be perfectly attached ,and prevent rotation between each layers. Each block board have to offset from the outside for 18mm due to the limitation of the operating restraint and the cutter track. We composed for its maximum value, to save the use of the materials.
The two systems have totally different ways to build , to These plan, and to install. For Tenon system, at first we design 4 tenons for each angle, after structural calculation, in fact, every joint which contains three angles need 2 pairs of tenons to support both 2 angles would be enough. So we correct to its maximum use, it became lighter and more useful, due to the lack of tenons. As for Stacking system, we did it for the opposite way. We gained its density without any missing layers. Its character is indeed the weight itself to support the whole bookshelf. The only difference between the top and the bottom is the thickness of the branch, it gradually became thicker to the bottom. These two systems have absolutely different features, no only its struture, but also the way they stood and the interaction with the users.

CALCULATION Materials have to be caculated accurately and the cost should be controlled. We total used 6 pieces of block wood for Tenon system and 40 pieces for One-piece staking system. Time was also a important factor .Usually, 3-4 pieces could be done in one day, it cost us three weeks to finish cutting.
As for installing its parts, we used different tools to assist. We need hammers to fit the latches, thread rod to attach layers. Glue and nails were for safety reasons.

Analyze The Cenchrus Prof. Buh-Ching Hwang collected seeds to explore art in installation for over 15 years, and he found the genus seed “Cenchrus” representing the spirit of Taiwan. Cenchrus attaches to clothes scattering around and live vividly in vacant land in concrete jungle. Therefore he collected countless 0.5cm cenchrus as ink to draw and reflect the relation between modern society and environment. “The 2 giant centurus ancient Chinese god-like head are amazing. And from these“Ying and Yang” faces, the devout Sung Dynasty Buddhism woman and the Tang Dynasty Buddhism monk, thousands of 10M cotton lines attached with cenchrus shooting to architectural passage which viewer can go through. The Concept of bycicle wheels The Concept of bycicle wheels Lecturer Cheng-Luan Hsueh , and lecturer Xo-Shing Huang and 15 students finds that every year after students graduating , thousands of bicycles, the most common transportation in the university, are abandoned and scattered around the school and even all over the cities. Therefore teachers and students collected bicycle wheels, studied wheel′s tectonics and structure . Therefore, reconstruct wheels into varieties of space elements and spaces. Use four wheels to construct a pyramidal unit and combine wheel′s tensegrity system to become furniture , and the tensegrity system with different geometry method can create different kinds of architecture elements and spaces ,for instances ,wall, bridge, dome and, canopy. Creating city space by abandoned and broken bicycle wheels is a new ecological and recycling approach to post-industrial Taiwan city, creating Taiwan a new“Ecological Bicycle Kingdom.”

Analyze Uneven Distribution Of Medical Resourses in Taiwan In this project, I studied Local Community Hospital’s course of developement which has a dramatic rise and fall during 1990 to 2000. And the medical perception of Taiwanese people is incorrect but it still persist because of the trend. In Taiwan, hospitals divided into certain levels, from the lower level - clinics to the higher level - academic medical center. People in Taiwan seldom notice that different levels of hospital treat different kinds of patients due to the severity of the illness, the line bewteen them is blur. People has this sterotype to think that the higher level of hospital has the effective treatment to the illness, so no matter if they caught a slight cold they are more likely to go to the medical center other than a clinic. And this situation has affect the medical environment in Taiwan. Others like the uneven distribution of medical resourses between cities and suburbs is also a problem. Suburb area usually has only clinics, and in Taiwan, there are usually specialist clinics. However, people need to sort out the kind of illness to pick the right clinic, and that will delay the time for treatment.

Because of the aging of population and low birth rate are more severe her in Taiwan.
