Jennifer Lusichi aka Qty is one of the most popular female artists in Kenya. Born in Nakuru Kenya, Qty started her career as a musician way back as a little girl in school. “...the music bug bit me pretty early and that’s where my entertainment journey kicked off. I actively participated in school music festivals, plays and recitals achieving podium finishes on the National stage” Qty recalls with a giggles. The Nairobi based artist has worked with Ogopa DJs on the song "Get Closer" released in April 2009 which received favorable airplay on Kenyan radio and TV stations. She then did "Zunguka" a song that was released in October 2009 and was a big hit in Kenya and the greater East Africa. She has done other songs which are five star rated including “crazy”, “get closer” Then later did a remix with a Kenyan male artist,Kenrazy same year. In the year 2012, she released “Come back to me” by Maich Back and the Herbalist, “Paparazi” whose video was done in the year 2012 she did deejay song, was done by the creative J Blessing, DJ among others. Qty is regarded as one of the best female artists to emerge in Kenya 2011 having been nominated New Artist *Chaguo la teeniz Awards*. later was featured in song*fimbo ya pilli* a 2013 hit song featuring a number of Kenyan artists December. The song continues to be a hit currently. Among other songs she has done includes, bubblegum,nataka, DNA 2014, Nieleze, Qty Cutie and many more coming this year. in addition to singing, Qty is involved in fashion design, Poetry, Acting and Traveling. Apart from her extreme talent in music, Qty has a heart for children and is actively involved with a charity organizations. She is an Ambassador for HIV and AIDS Awareness. She also aspires to form an organization whose purpose will be to bring together various talented persons in music to raise awareness of HIV/AIDS prevalence. This will help the youth to take responsibility of their lives and to help children orphaned through HIV/AIDS. Towards this initiative, she produced the documentary “Music For Change” Working on her organization Qty foundation.
