1 The Room of Requirement....... A library contains stories, not just for real life, but also for imagenation, experiences, answers and unexpected things. A library, is full of pictures, so that people could understand the meaning not just basing on words. A library, is a rest area, the coffee there is different from other places. When poeple drink it, they feel relaxed, escaping from real life. A library, can tell feeling. With whispering and quite space, people talk about their life. They have tears but no crying, they had reading but no eating. A library, they have garden. It is a seasonal change that could refresh the library every year. It is not just a garden, it is a spetial kind of the garden. A library, they grow, they feel, they have memory. A lot of memory, growing together, makes people think that it is home. It is city of stars.

2 The Library of Bable The book has no meaning; it is the person who reads it that gives it meaning....... In fact, the library is like a four-dimensional space. When a library has an infinite space, the infinite breaks down into minutes and seconds. When you look up, when you look down, you can see what happened to you in the past and what will happen to you in the future.... Chaos does not mean disorder, the universe is not unknown, because we believe it. We live in a ig library with immortal spaces, which represents our fate When you find the way out , there is no way out because it is a cycle. But when you know that it is a cycle, chaos becomes rule. Because we adapt to it, we are no longer searching for the end of space, but start searching for ourselves as a person, as books

3 The Power of Ten People, how small We come to the vast universe for exploration. From big to small, we thought that we discovered enough to the universe. But there is still unkown to further distance People, how big We keep searching the truth of bio-structure to find why we exist. The matter is that we are always in a state of disappearance and recombination in relation to the universe WE ARE EVERYWHERE

4 Sir John Soane’s Museum Look, look, look........ What are you exploring? A book? A drawing? An exhibits? Like a treasure. History brings us a memory, it didn't hide anything. It comes through each exhibit, each person, each collector, to see ourselves, to search for the truth The charm of eclecticism is that it is a symbol of power and wealth. For example, human beings always pursue the beauty and change of form. And I am immersed in this, because it brings me is the visual enjoyment, is the geometry of history Hide, Hide,Hide......... Hidden in the dark, hidden in the space, hidden in the exhibits. Where are you hiding? Where I can find myself? Where is my story beginning?

5 Slow House Why we want to escape? Because we are afriad of city?Because we are too far away from the nature? The forest? The Lake? The ocean? We are using technology to realise what we want. But when we open a Pandora's box, we close the way we aspire to a peaceful life There is an urgent need to create a new relationship between the city and nature, and not just to express ourselves through a layer of glass.Isn't that an irony?

6 Green Square Library Urban Life is

Library + Sqaure Study+Public Circulation

Geometry, however, explains it perfectly. You might think that geometry exists only in the plane view, but by dividing it in half from the facade, it is the interpretation of the urban space. And in cities, we have different visual penetration and visual depth, as well as visual communication. It depends on where we stand. But cities are like this, like geometric shapes, which crisscross people together, and then, again, like libraries, which classify us. Follow and integrate

7 Monash Caulfield Library "Give or Take"? -Rose Nolan We are sometimes faced with this choice. But I know that not everything is going to go smoothly or come to a conclusion smoothly. Sometimes we are passive, sometimes we are active After a long struggle against the world, I choose to find my way home under the reading. When I came in, I restored my order and my status from the jumbled lines. And, I like to observe the world in my quiet time, now that I face it, I will adapt to it, when I see it again

8 Experience Just keep climbing. On this repetitive but deepening track, the high point is reached. In the process of exploration and our climbing, there is repetition, but we thus gather experience and experience. It makes us grow When all the storms and rains have washed us, when we have reached that top, all shall be quiet Experience, Experience.......

- Music by Ludovico Einaudi

Self critique: The reason why I delete sphere and keep box? 1. Sphere is not normal elements and form inside of Chinatown 2. It is hard to tell the major proposition of my project 3. It is hard to construction and think about the structure inside 4. The design form is not adapted to my overall library

Self critique : The reason why I chose stepped boxes as my main architectural language as mountain? 1. Mountain is like a pyramid, which does smaller and smaller on the top 2. It is more regular and logic than my project 2, which performs a good forms and imagination as multi- level and climbing process 3. As I studied one of my reference from Chongqing, I combine the social behaviors with my reference to make a imagination of "mountain social properties" as main imagination
