Chinatown, a diverse social place and area, is one of the busiest streets in downtown Melbourne. Through the research and study of Chinatown, the social interaction here shows the overlapping of different levels, which are related to the urban functional attributes of Chinatown. The existence of the library will mobilize the social nature of Chinatown, from the main evening social, increase the social behavior in the daytime and more diversified spiritual level of communication

Description "library is a mountain, a mountain in the city," My concept comes from the dynamic, and based on the dynamic, I extend the possible development of natural growth imagination such as the growth of mountain. And follow this step, mountain no only shows the mutilevel of social behavior in Chinatown, but also shows the multi-level gaining process of knowledge and experience of people in the city. This is the relationship of library and city for my design. Knowledge absorption is growing, and when people are climbing, they are also experiencing the process of knowledge and absorption. But with the increase of knowledge, it also comes the increase of age. Therefore, from children to adults, not only does knowledge increase, but understanding also deepens. At the same time, such knowledge absorption does not end with age.The higher level of knowledge is in practice and application, is the response to society, the city

What is Mountain Skin? It is part of my concept . The shell of the mountain uses a series of transparent concrete structural frames. The regular frames shows the modern city condition, modern city and modern social order. Therefore, it also shows the relationship woth my main mountain body- library is a mountain, a mountain in the city

The Mapping shows the idea of multi- level, climbing process and age change

Material for skin: translucent concrete. Blur the boundaries between the city and the interior of the building

Reference 1 : Old Hongyadong in Chongqing city. (Different height and multi-level

Brick and Brick tile: traditional materia elements to perform mountain body

Reference 2 : Chongqing House. It shows the climbing process in people’s spatial experience

Buiding structure whithin Library :modern technology in comtemporary building

Reference 3 : Nest We GrowKengo Kuma It shows the poential spatial openings and shell to perform as skin About my concept diagram: You climb from a mountain, but you live in a city. When you reach the top, you will see the beautiful scene when you r4each there
