DONORS AND VOLUNTEERS DONATE

We’re more than a gym. We’re a cause. With services from A to Z- like athletics to advocacy, dance classes to disease prevention, volleyball to volunteerism- we don’t just strengthen individuals, we strengthen our community. When you donate to the Y, you help ensure that no one gets turned away from our life-enhancing services because of an inability to pay.

VOLUNTEER IMPACT

Volunteers do many things at the Somerset Valley YMCA. They landscape, paint gaga-ball courts, mulch the camp area, paint murals and help direct the association through branch boards and an association board. In all of these ways, they help us better the lives of our neighbors.

6

Many thanks to the individuals, organizations and companies which chose to volunteer at the Somerset Valley YMCA!

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

Over 750 individuals volunteer at the YMCA — you can too! Whether you have an interest in swim lessons, childcare or like to help out during special events, there are plenty of opportunities available. Please contact the Executive Director at each facility for more information.

CHILD CARE & AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAMS AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAMS The hours children spend outside of the classroom are critical to their growth and development. At the Y, we makes certain that the time gaps after school are filled creatively and constructively. Kids have the opportunity work on their homework assignments, as well as to express their talents in the arts, sports and other areas of interest, taking advantage of all the Y has to offer. Afterschool programs are available at our Hillsborough and Somerville branches.
