THE FLOWERS today have been given by the Cathedral for everyone to enjoy. There are still quite a few gaps on the Flower Rota for 2020 and if you would like to sponsor an arrangement, please put your name on the list against the date you would like or speak to either Pat Anderson or Margaret Rowe or let the Cathedral Office know. The list is on the sound desk at the back of the Cathedral. Thank you. Please meet at the back of the Cathedral at the start of the service and the children, who will have their own special time of worship, will re-join us at the Eucharist. THIS WEEK SILENCE SPACE is tomorrow at 1pm in St Aidan’s Chapel. Why not start the new year by sharing in this quiet and reflective time with others? All are welcome. MONDAY FELLOWSHIP meets tomorrow at 2pm in the Parish Room, when Dean Jerry will give a talk entitled ‘On the Way – the pilgrimage of faith’. All new people are welcome so why not go along and start the new year by joining the group, which meets monthly, and enjoy refreshments afterwards? YEAR OF PILGRIMAGE 2020 has been designated by the Association of English Cathedrals as a Year of Pilgrimage and we have been given two pilgrimage routes to Bradford Cathedral, one from Halifax Minster and one from Dewsbury Minster. Details are on our website and in both What’s On and Keeping in Touch. To mark this Year of Pilgrimage, you are invited to join us for a Son et Lumiere Pilgrimage on Saturday 1st February from 6.30pm – 7.45pm when we will travel around this sacred space where Christians have worshipped for almost 1400 years and hear the story of Bradford and its Cathedral unfold in words and music. As there will be a restriction on numbers booking is essential and you can do this either on pilgrimage.eventbrite.co.uk or through the Cathedral Office. COFFEE DUTY VOLUNTEERS NEEDED. The coffee rota after the main Sunday morning service has become depleted and is in real need of some new people to join the teams to provide tea and coffee after the 10.15 service. If you are interested and want to know more, please would you get in touch with either Canon Paul or Monica Slocombe after the service. FAIRTRADE The Fairtrade Stall is open today after the 10.15am service, where you can find a selection of Fairtrade goods. By supporting the stall and Fairtrade you are helping someone/a family who you will never meet, but for whom your purchase will make a difference. Do go and have a look and support the stall if you can. LOST PROPERTY We have quite a large collection of lost property, which has accumulated over the past few months. This is on the Gallery and we would ask that if have lost something which you think may possibly be there, that you check as soon as possible. Any items unclaimed by Sunday 26th January will be disposed of. INN CHURCHES are well into their winter programme, but still need warm clothing (scarves, hats, gloves, coats, jeans/trousers) and mini toiletries to help them support the guests they have each night. They also need new duvets, as well as new or unused items for their homes starter packs (cleaning items, cutlery, crockery, saucepans, utensils, kettles and toasters). Any items you are able to donate would be appreciated so much, and can be brought into the Cathedral Office. ABIGAIL HOUSING is a West-Yorkshire based charity dedicated to providing support and homes to refugees and asylum seekers who find themselves destitute on our streets. This includes those who have been refused asylum but cannot reasonably return to their country of origin and those given refugee status. Abigail would be immensely grateful for any donations of non-perishable food, which can also be brought into the Cathedral, to help those it supports.
