herri is 21-year-old California native that is a professional women’s motocross, supercross, and off-road motorcycle racer. She began riding dirt bikes at the age of nine and racing shortly after with the support and encouragement of her parents and older brother (who also rode). She spent her younger years having fun riding her mini bike in the fields of Bakersfield and racing the central California motocross tracks. Sherri is now one of the top women’s professional racers with an AMA Women’s Pro Motocross National Moto Win, an X Games Silver Medal and a World Off Road Racing Title! In AMA Women’s Pro Motocross She is currently ranked # 3. Sherri was one of only four women to win a moto at the AMA/WMA Women’s Pro Motocross Nationals. For the 2010 season, Cruse is one of only a handful of pro women racers to ride for an AMA Pro Team becoming the newest member of the Team Suzuki City Nitro Circus. Sidelined from training for a few weeks due to a broken toe, she still has been keeping busy representing her sport. 12 | CYCLEPATHMAG.COM

I don’t have one favorite, I like a lot of them but I hate scarey movies.
Beside suspension and motor work I cut my bars down, have higher foot pegs, shave my seat, and cut my sub frame. I am one of the smaller riders in the WMA.
I have jumped ramps and I have back flipped into a foam pit. I might be cool to do more when I am done racing.

’m a union ironworker with an addiction to motorcycles. I enjoy all kinds of motorcycles. I dont run across many people that ride harleys and race superbikes. I think if your a motorcycle enthusiast you should appreciate all aspects of motorcycling. My friends named my bike the “Black Diamond”. I’ve been riding since I was 5. I started building bikes when I was 18. My first solo build was an air oil cooled GSXR 750. I came to find out that building bikes was cheaper than outrite buying them. Basket cases were the best. One builder I really like is Paul Yaffe. I actully started building the bike along the lines of his discovery channel bike. I even purchased thier exhaust system. The sheetmetal and tank are all off the shelf items! While building the bike we ran across a few problems, aligning the transmission and motor, clearences and bad chrome that needed replating. Looking back I would have gone with 2 inches shorter on the backbone, a bit less rake and a smaller rear tire (300 to 260). I own a 2006 gsxr 1000cc race bike, 2009 CBR1000 racebike and a RMZ 450. My favorite riding spots are definitly the track. Riding/racing but for obvious reasons my prostreet doesnt work very well in those conditions. I ride the bike around town a bit and have gone on a couple of runs. I get some looks sometimes. Most people seem to call it the “Batman bike” I guess I can see why. I’ve been asked if my bike was on tv shows. 32 | CYCLEPATHMAG.COM
I actually have two funny moments on my bike. I had a California Highway Patrol Officer ask me if he could take some pics on the bike when it was being inspected and blue tagged. I also had a homeless man ask if he could sit on it (I said yes cuz thats how we roll). I dont have a favorite bike or a favorite motorcycle movie, but I can say I hate all cheesy bike movies such as biker boys. I would like to thank my buddy Rich Vasquez and Razzo for helping me on the build .

Our selected reader this month is Glynn Paul Rivera a Philippines native born on June 2nd, 1979 who came to the United States when he was eight years old and has not been back since. He now resides in Covina California. We met Glynn at a bike night at Roscoe’s Famous Deli in the city of Fullerton. Once presented the opportunity, this motorcycle enthusiast took swift action to submit his entry. CyclePath Magazine would like to thank Glynn for his time and commitment. Glynn Paul Rivera CP: What was your first motorcycle experience? Glynn: GSXR 750. My brother owned the Suzuki. He always told me to ride it but I was scared. One day I was at the beach and saw a girl riding a motorcycle and I told myself if a girl could ride one I could handle one. That was it! The moment I got home from the beach I jumped on my brother’s bike and the rest was history. CP: When did you start riding? A: One year after high school. I had opportunities prior to that but I was scared of motorcycles. CP: What’s your favorite bike route? A: Neptune’s going down the canyon with the beach views, WOW!!! Also San Diego I guess anything coastal. CP: What kind of motorcycle(s) do you have? A: I have three a 2005 HD Deluxe, 2005 HD Springer and a 2007 HD Deluxe CP: If you could write a new law or modify a current one (in relation to motorcycles) what would it be? A: Exhaust. This law is a complete bunch of bullshit. Anyone that rides knows loud exhaust makes other people aware of you just by the sound.

CP: Do you belong to any clubs? If so, which one. If not, why not? A: No, never really been a club person. I do have a group of peeps that I ride with all the time though. Reason, I can’t stand the politics of clubs meeting, mandatory this and that BS!!! It’s all about the ride. I think that gets lost in all that. CP: Do you participate in any particular “rides” or events? A: Not really, I’ve been there done that......... CP: If you could have any motorcycle what would it be? We are living in a wonderful era.
