Upcoming Competitions

Three Clubs and a Putter (Gents) is coming up on 19th March. This a team event (best three from four) and sure to be good fun.

Ping Mixed 4BBB (Mixed) on 25th March - our winners will progress through to the next round of this national competition.

Finally, entries are also open for the Spring Cup (Gents) on the 15th April which is an honours board stableford competition.

Final Thoughts

You might notice a few courtesy signs around the course reminding us to keep doing what we can to protect the playing surfaces such as raking bunkers and repairing our pitch marks. Not only are these vital to keep the course in top condition but also ensure fair conditions for others.

In addition, please do play ready golf at all times. This means playing without delay and while there are many aspects to this, a few key principles are:

• Playing without delay and if you’re ready, no need to wait for someone else to play first

• Tapping in short putts where possible rather than marking your ball

The Herts Golf Union operates a number of open competitions for members of Hertfordshire Golf Clubs. These are often great value ways to play some great courses in a competitive setting. A list is posted up on the notice board but and also here:

• Marking score cards on the next tee

• Leaving equipment on your route to the next tee

• Playing your shot before helping others look for theirs
