A message from Serina, Hi Everyone, Can you believe we are halfway through the year already, where has the time gone! My beautiful granddaughter Freya is already crawling around the floor and climbing the furniture it won’t be long before she is walking around and talking. This month has been a very busy month with so much going on, me and Steve (General Manager) went to a conference last week called Elevate which was all about the fitness industry and where technology is going into the future, including future trends. It has given us both a lot to think about for 2023/2024 and how we can take our club into the future. We have new gym equipment coming soon, the outdoor spa area has had a facelift, and we are just waiting on the arrival off 6 new sunloungers that all you sun worshippers will love. Can I please remind everyone this area is still a no mobile phone area along with poolside, please leave your phones in your lockers. We also have two new instructors Matt & Tom, along with Georgina who is our new children’s/adult swimming instructor and is already a big hit with the kids. I would like to say a big thank you to everyone who used our wipe board for you feedback on classes, Lisa is evaluating all feedback and has already looked at two new classes coming very soon. Luke will be doing a circuit class on a Wednesday evening at 8pm Denise will be taking a Pilates class on Thursday mornings at 7am Look out for the new classes coming in July.
The outdoor spa has had a facelift – How did we achieve this? The new outdoor chairs are made from 100% recyclable milk cartons so will not rust, split or discolour for many years. The artificial wall is I believe a fantastic product that has made a great impact on this area, we have had a lot of you request the company the artificial wall come from a company called “True Products”. The new flowering shrubs will give us flowers throughout the seasons, the beautiful camelia with their lovely pink flower will start to flower late winter early spring. This is then followed by the big red flowers of the rhododendron in spring early summer. Then to finish the summer we will have a boost of colour from the Choisya (Aztec Pearl), this plant has the most beautiful small white flower to give a delicate touch to our outdoor spa area.
Our NEW SAUNA Is Coming Soon
Sven Saunas are refurbishing our sauna. Due to their current schedule and delivery time on materials this will be around September.
Thank you for your patience

Reduce Stress and Deal with Anger One of the biggest energy zappers is stress, says psychologist Paul Baard, PhD. Stress is the result of anxiety, and anxiety uses up a whole lot of our energy. Like worry or fear stress can leave you mentally and physically exhausted -- even if you've spent the day in bed. More commonly, low but chronic levels of stress erode energy levels, so over time you find yourself doing less and feeling it more. Much the same way, unexpressed anger can give a one-two punch to your energy level. The reason we're expending all our energy trying to contain our angry feelings, and that can be exhausting. The good news is that we you counter these energy killers by programming more relaxation activities into our day. While for many people, increasing exercise burns off the chemical effects of stress and anger, others find relief in quiet pursuits: listening to music, meditating, or just reading a book. Whatever is relaxing for you will reduce tension and that will help increase energy and more important make you a happier person.
