WHY IM? • Information is what AIESEC trades essentially. • IM leads to productivity. • Effective communication means no one feels left out. • It helps you save time and money. • Information management entails organizing, retrieving, acquiring, securing and maintaining information.
CONCEPT The concept stands for all the strategies, processes, frameworks, etc. That are proposed in order to give an specific direction and order to all kind of data/information generated by an organization, thus improve the operations, achieving in less time high quality, without incurring in unnecessary resources investment.
Information-management = Optimization+Simplification The aim of Information Management in AIESEC is to capture the knowledge generated by the Local Committees and Member Committees, allowing a sustainable knowledge sharing across AIESEC entities. The goal is to boost organizational understanding, learning from previous mistakes and increase the operational activity into the organization.
• During this term, the IM corner will be driven under four (4) main principles, which are oriented to enable the implementation of one Global Strategy proposed by AIESEC International team, aligning all the efforts to be more effective and relevant with our operations, providing an added value to every single outcome generated by the Local Entities. • Each of those principles aims for provide ideas, methods, or techniques in different fields of management:

1. Boosting Leadership IM/IT Manager will be able to manage the assets within the teams in a most effective way, encouraging the team members to work under an specific framework to achieve the operational goals, having high levels of performance with a low investment of resources (financial, technological, etc.). This stage will be conducted towards: Managing Yourself, Managing IT Teams, Business Relationship Management and Working besides Excecs.

2. IT Simplicity & Innovation Having an understanding of the external sector and how we can capitalize the opportunities using the developed abilities and skills during the term. In this way Manager will have a strong knowledge to propose solutions or ideas that aims for having simplicity and innovation in our operations, all of this based on: Business Strategy, IT Strategy, Innovation on Technology and IT Governance.

3. Managing IT Projects & Leading Change Being aware of how looks like the big picture of the organization (Local or National Level), Managers will have the opportunity to administer effectively the whole organizational assets/resources in order to develop projects which carry high benefits for the sustainability of Local Offices, providing professional advices to those people that are directly responsible for its implementation. To achieve this, IM corner will aims for develop a Corporate Intelligence culture towards: Project & Programme Management, Risk Management, Leading Business Change and Project/Programme Portfolio Management.

4. Operations Management Managers will have the chance to gain skills regarding negotiation, in order to improve the processes' quality keeping in mind projects/operations cost, crisis management, problem solcing, seeking for partnerships, Managers culture, among others, thus generate a corporate knowledge mindset among the teams.
With these principles, IM/IT Managers will have the tools, soft/hard skills, but most important; the practical knowledge to Optimize and Standardize the Processes, keeping in mind the need to manage and track the fast growing that AIESEC in Mumbai is suffering during the last years, that's why the presence of this kind of roles at local level is critical at the moment to achieve and improve the way to make things happen. The main objective to implement the basic activities related with Information Management, providing the network with high quality knowledge and development of core operations, leading the daily work to achieve the goals in an effective way.

1. Knowledge Management
Retaining the knowledge in the Organization and encourages the culture in people to create and share it. That's what we've been doing for years now through our filling systems, transition processes, contacting Alumni, among others. Now, we are experimenting an increasing need to sustain the knowledge created in the Organization and make it available to all its members and extend it to our stakeholders.

2. Internal Communication
Function responsible for effective communication among the membership in AIESEC. The final goal is create more synergy and cohesion inside AIESEC members, teams, working groups, etc.
Effective internal communications is one of the key drivers of membership engagement and proven to add significant value to organizations on all metrics from productivity to customer research, goals achievement and improving performance as well.
3. IT Design & Development • Providing support and resolving issues related with our Global Information System; myaiesec.net, when it comes to content development, operations management, administrative processes or user experience. • As well, at the moment of implement external platforms that are aligned with the core processes of AIESEC, developing them and delivering, thus achieve simplification of operations
4. Quality Management • Taking into account IT Management methods, this process is focused on ensure the quality planning, identifying which standards are relevant in the operations and determine how to satisfy them, then assuring the quality, evaluating overall projects/operation performance to ensure the achievement of standards, finally control the quality, monitoring the results and determine which ones are achieved and which could be eliminated in order to optimize the process.
• With those activities generate a Project Management Culture, encouraging Local Entities to apply skills, tools and techniques to project activities in order to meet or exceed stakeholders expectations and needs, caring for the leverage of demands among the variables (cost, time, scope, quality, resources, etc.) • In the other hand, describe the organizational approach to the management of ongoing operations, understanding the frame and areas of work (context, processes, integration, communication, etc.)
