Philanthropy is of utmost importance to Lodge 59. They are heavily involved in supporting the CHIPS Center, located at Children’s Hospital of Alabama. The Children’s Hospital Intervention & Prevention Services (CHIPS) promotes healing for children that have been affected by suspected child abuse and neglect. Lodge 59 participates in the Magnolia Days Festival, in order to raise money for CHIPS. If you’ve noticed the Red Wagons at Children’s Hospital, chances are, Lodge 59 played a role in that.
Lodge 59 recently introduced a new Associate Membership, allowing community members the opportunity to become involved in the organization. Associate Members can assist law enforcement, act as community activists, be eligible for scholarships, receive public recognition, and provide support for their law enforcement community.
