Beverly Hills Police Arrest Three After Vehicle Pursuit By Matt Lopez It was a busy week for the Beverly Hills Police Department. A police pursuit Wednesday through Beverly Hills ended with the arrest of three suspects believed to have stolen a vehicle. At around 4:15 a.m. Wednesday, BHPD officers conducted a traffic stop on a stolen vehicle in the 200 block of Linden Drive. A pursuit ensued, but culminated when the suspect’s car struck a chainlink fence in the 9900 block of South Santa Monica Boulevard. Two suspects were immediately arrested, followed by the driver, who took off on foot but was quickly apprehended. BHPD Sgt. Giovanni Trejo said in a release that officers found numerous pieces of evidence in the area of the vehicle, such as burglary tools and drug paraphernalia. Arrested were Brandon R.

By Laura Coleman Following two divisive study sessions focused on just how the Board of Education might effectively resolve next year’s forecasted $5 million budget deficit, on Tuesday the board appeared to reach consensus on following recommendations put forth by Superintendent Michael Bregy and district staff. “We recommend keeping current class sizes (i.e. low) and current programs,” he stated at Tuesday’s formal meeting. The board is expected to vote on the budget to send to the Los Angeles County Office

Those arrests came on the heels of a bust of five people last Friday after a strong-arm robbery at a store in the 9500 block of Brighton Way. The robbery occurred at about 2:15 p.m. and the suspects took off with two bags valued in excess of $3,300 and fled on foot into the business district. Three suspects were taken into custody within minutes of the BHPD’s response, and the two others were arrested in the business triangle with help of air support from the LAPD. Arrested were Marcelle Christion, 20, of Los Angeles; Cassidy Poston, 19 of Los Angeles; Ladrina McFarland, 19 of Los Angeles and a male and female juvenile aged 16. All five were arrested for robbery and criminal conspiracy.
